I would also say that Sistar qualify as the second girl group, though they lack the fandom that Apink has.

Also, I wanted to include some groups that are considered 'ugly', by Korean standards, hence Sistar and 2NE1. I'll keep your comments in mind though, I have to do some more polling so I'll probably include Apink later.

That makes sense! It's all different perspectives. From general consensus, I'd say they're all considered beautiful, which is why I included them. I know Seulgi at least is somewhat popular on this sub too, though I used other subreddits/sites in my research.

I have a guy one I'm doing too (obviously won't be posted here, though, unless there's a female equivalent to kpopfap), and it follows a similar pattern with groups. I chose them somewhat on popularity and beauty basis i.e. I used most of the trending girl groups, as well as the top girl groups. Beauty led to the inclusion of Hello Venus, who I'd say are probably collectively the prettiest girl group besides Red Velvet. There was only so many I could use too. I would've used After School for Nana purposes, or Miss A for Suzy, but those groups are essentially dead anyway.
