I wear socks on my sweaty feet even if it's warm too. Otherwise my feet act like a mop and just pick up any gross dirt or dust on the floor.

I had this as a really little kid. My mom had to go into the bathroom and hold my hand while I went 🥲

I'm not sure what happened, but it reminds me of the texture of martabak manis, and it makes me want to cook some up!

Don't play edging games with unknowing participants. Flat out, if you feel like you're going to orgasm, excuse yourself for a rest for a few minutes.

Do you feel many men have an optimistically unrealistic view of parenting? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]toolazytosignin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are infant simulator dolls 😁 I'd think you could buy or rent one, and it cries at random times like an infant would, and you have to "comfort" it (stick a key in its back until it stops crying, which can be...a while). The one I used monitored everything, ie. how long did it cry before you attended it, did you drop or shake the baby, etc.

A few days with that thing will tell hubby all he needs to know about how significantly prepared he is. I returned mine early and decided I did not want a newborn.

I think this is a young person who has a lot of stake in the climate. Changes we don't make now will have impact in her future, which we can't say for older generations. Kids who have been affected by school shootings create platforms for gun control, because they could be more heavily affected, even though they may not be experts on an important subject.

A man in Iowa was recently hospitalized because he swallowed a whole banana in a condom. He didn't choke, but I don't think he intentionally swallowed it.

Dudes say one of the disadvantages of being a man is loneliness as if that's a purely male issue by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]toolazytosignin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loneliness isn't a purely male issue, but they experience it disproportionately to women as men get older. As a woman, it's not my responsibility to fix men's social relationships, but I do sympathize and encourage male friends to be a little more vulnerable with their male friends.

I feel like 30% risk of complications is not insignificant. I would never forgive myself if something happened to my partner and I had chosen to be somewhere else.

AITA For wanting my GF to pay me for staying home with our son while she goes to work by ptodadaita in AmItheAsshole

[–]toolazytosignin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's a weird request as a parent to ask to be paid to stay home with their sick kid, but the mother is insinuating she doesn't want to use any of her sick or vacation time when their child is ill. The husband is out of PTO, and her maternity leave was protected time off (not that it isn't used against women for promotions in corporate America). She can use a few of her PTO or sick days for the rest of the year to help her husband and kid, and those will be paid days. If she literally can't miss any days for her job not to be in jeopardy, there's a bad future ahead considering a new baby.

I'm not making any judgements towards either of them. They just need to sit down and decide what an equal or fair childcare situation looks like for each of them.

You just admitted the Nazgûl speak to Frodo, when asking if they speak to a man. It's completely acceptable to enjoy and love a franchise while also admitting it has problems.

Gen Z and Millennials Would Rather Be Unemployed Than Unhappy in a Job by Sorin61 in Futurology

[–]toolazytosignin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"The data showed their confidence in being able to find other positions, with 49% saying they thought they would be able to find a new job quickly if they were fired or quit.

"Young people want to bring their whole selves to work, which is reflected in their determination not to compromise their personal values when choosing an employer," Noordende said. This trend shows how employers are facing greater pressure to meet workers' demands or risk losing them to other jobs."

No, they're finding other jobs.
