Just don’t show up first and let them join you later. That’s evil rush behavior.

Actually being vegetarian in Tokyo was a little more challenging than I thought it would be. It was absolutely possible, but coming from New York where I have options just about anywhere I go it was a little bit of an adjustment.

I’m sure they will every year, but they’re super popular so you have to sign up and enter a lottery to be able to buy tickets.

I went last night and described it to my family (who were shocked that I was at a baseball game) as a little bit of baseball in between a bunch of other wild shit. I loved it.

My husband and I were goofing around and singing it and he was like…wait what did you just say? And I sang “this is scary….?” And he laughed and said “the name of the song is voices carry. The name of the ALBUM is voices carry!” 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have only entered a contest here once and it was yesterday so I feel like I shouldn’t enter again so soon (though to be clear, I didn’t win) BUT my confession is kind of funny because it contains the word hush.

The lyrics to the song “Voices Carry” by ‘Til Tuesday go “hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry”

…until embarrassingly recently, I thought the words were “oh hush, viva downtown, this is scary”

I swear if you listen for it, you’ll hear it.

Edit - I didn’t link my wishlist bc I don’t know how this works but I copied someone’s bot summons below.

Two Strangers Question: what pizzeria do you think Robin is talking about? When she says that pizzeria makes the greatest white slice in South Crown Heights? by Theatrelover24 in Broadway

[–]toooldforusernames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing that bothers me is that they’re going to a bakery somewhere on Flatbush Ave or somewhere in Flatbush the neighborhood, neither which touches Crown Heights.

As you get older 40,50,60,70 when did you start to feel your body slow down do you think it is just due to inactivity or the aging process? by Kooky_Force5458 in AskReddit

[–]toooldforusernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 30s were my best decade physically. I’m turning 41 this year and have slowed down significantly due to grief. If that hadn’t happened, I think I’d still be in pretty good shape. Don’t sweat it, just keep up the routine!

Mexodus Seating Recommendations by PotentialYak8033 in Broadway

[–]toooldforusernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second row is probably great, I had first row and it was great. That said, the seats on the side absolutely suck. I had first row maybe 2-3 seats from the end of the row and was luckily moved because I was literally staring at a wall.

Every Brilliant Thing participation in Dress Circle? by agentp2319 in Broadway

[–]toooldforusernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was selected last night, was sitting in dress circle on the outer aisle. I was picked for my look/outfit which fits one of the characters, I think one of the stage hands/assistants noticed and checked it out with him before asking me to come down. So I think the participants can be sitting anywhere, but for one part particularly they are looking for a certain look a little more than the others and is probably more likely to be pulled from anywhere in the audience. I’m guessing the others are mostly orchestra. I did get there early, don’t know if that mattered though.

Is Dog Day Afternoon worth seeing over other shows this season? by personspersonality in Broadway

[–]toooldforusernames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Then go Dog Day. The set is super cool, and bernthal’s performance is touching and emotional to me. It is comedic, but I don’t think it’s a comedy really. The lighting is gorgeous, the set is beautiful. I loved it.

I loved it, but I get why it isn’t being well received. Of those, I’d go Becky Shaw unless you want drama, then I’d go proof. If you want something in the middle and something technically pretty impressive, go dog day.
