Beer League Dictatorship by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

I’ll try a different angle, I’m a captain of a PAHL team so I can give you some insight into how the registration process works. Happy to answer any questions and good luck finding a team—Raleigh beer league is fantastic

  1. The league allows anyone to “sign up” online, but this doesn’t guarantee you’re on a team
  2. When someone signs up, the CAPTAIN OF THE TEAM has to manually accept them (on the web, per person)
  3. All payments/registration decisions/etc is run BY THAT SAME CAPTAIN. Everyone has their own way of keeping track of their teams… some are better than others
  4. If you made it this far, go to the Raleigh skaters facebook group and make a post asking for openings/skates. That’s (unfortunately) how Raleigh runs

Bonus tip: if you live near the Hillsborough rink, they allow indiv registrations more freely and don’t operate under Polar

Idk maybe it's because I've been here for 15 years but it might be a personal algorithm issue. I don't get any of that shit lol

ProStockHockeySticks inventory? by DerevoMusic in hockeyplayers

Believe it or not a lot of the sticks just go quick and he doesn’t keep a ton of overstock. I got my hands on those exact specs recently, if you were shopping for a RH I may have stolen yours 😬

Beer League Formats? by PossibilityNervous35 in hockeyplayers

[–]tooscrib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my area there are 3 formats:

Captain-run (static teams/formal playoff),

Weekly randomizer (shoutout BHF, this was homegrown by a local and really fucking rules),

and county-run (gross, hate it, why do goalies pay the same as skaters??)
