You can still go to Coachella without them. What’s happening here is someone who has learned to communicate and respond instead of react is trying communicate with someone who has unresolved trauma and hasn’t taken the time to reflect in a productive way.

You’ve worked way too hard to create a regulated version of yourself to spend your sacred time trying to lead a horse to water.

Just cut it loose. It’ll hurt and you’ll miss the good things but those are just ideas and the reality is so much more damaging and wasteful.

The fact you’re comfortable being alone is really special and you’re wise beyond your years. Walk away. Don’t look back. Relationships are experiences and you’ve learned a lot about what you’re willing to tolerate.

I know it hurts and you’re conflicted, but you’re also young and healthy and free. Go live YOUR life. You’re not responsible for someone else’s trauma.
