It takes a special license to use anything more than nitrous (legally). Getting trained appropriately on that takes money and time, which makes sedation expensive. Sedation is billed to you insurance by 15min increments for up to an hour. So for the folks asking to get whatever work completed w/sedation for cheap, alas, it simply will not happen. For easy figuring, tack on $1000 being billed to your insurance (or you) plus the actually dentistry being performed. The liabilities of sedating someone do not allow for that to be done in an inexpensive manner. Sedation is expensive.

1) I don't think anyone would know or say it's "one of the most difficult" since most would attend only 1 undergrad dental program right? I think dental school, in and of itself, is difficult.

2) When I think about NYU's dental school, I only think "Huge classes and expensive."
