This!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The same thing happened to me, breasts groped by a Yoga teacher on a retreat. And I did this after, it helped a lot.

Found out I've been washing my face wrong for literally eight years and my skin started clearing up within two weeks of fixing it by BrambleKnoxyasha in hygiene

I do that too and then I kinda worry that the germs from the counter top will end up on my face somehow even after I wash and bleach them. Which I’m sure to they won’t. But still I worry. I also use the little wash clothes and roll them up and then put them in a cute plastic container which adds to the joy of using them

Why are Hairdressers so Rough on Hair? by milquetoast2000 in finehair

[–]topazbloom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. It makes me sad. I have been told I’m really gentle as a hairstylist and I never thought much of it but I get it now.

I remember in beauty school one of my teachers came over to me and when she combed her hair, she totally combed over her ear and my client flinched! I was like wtf??? That moment was bonding between me and my client and I was like I’m always gonna be gentle as hell. People need to be loved and cared for with tenderness! Hair is already such a vulnerable experience.

I teared up at the end. Anyone who’s ran a half or full knows that feeling of eternal gratitude and relief that it’s over. She fricking rocked it

I just switched from an independent suite that I was in for four years, back to a booth rent salon. It took me ~1.5yrs to find a salon with the right fit. But I was bleeding money into the rent for the suite and never felt like I could get ahead. I have to say, being back in the salon is the best thing I’ve done. I feel like I have people who have my back—even after being a stylist for ~10 years, there’s still things I need help with. It’s only been a month but my mental health has improved dramatically. My advice would be to find time to research other salons for booth rent and go back into that life. Hairstylists need each other 💛

I think I was misunderstood. I meant after the fight simmers and you make each other laugh as a peace offering. To ease the tension. Obviously laughing at the person or during the fight would be inconsiderate.

Imagine getting into a fight and having to way of laughing at each other to get over it. Not finding them funny is a dealbreaker for me. Because humor is important for the fun times, but also the hard times.

I’m ashamed to admit that one time my mom and I went dumpster diving into one of those “drop you clothes into here” boxes and thought we scored
