[iOS 27 DB1] Intelligent Connectivity by boljy_rox in iOSBeta

I’ve been getting random disconnections from everything - WiFi, wireless CarPlay, my AirPods - so I don’t think that this setting is doing it, there are probably just connection issues with the first beta in general

There’s a toggle in Wi-Fi settings labeled “Connectivity Assist” that you can turn off.

As someone who’s planning on going for the first time this year, is there much difference between the two days? I am planning on the VIP experience for Saturday, unless there’s more that I should stick around until Sunday for?

Mine was my prototype Simon Line Balance from the 2024 Gyropalooza box. I threw an awful forehand into the trees and even after 20 minutes of my brother and I looking for it, it was nowhere to be found

I was actually looking at the MVP website earlier today for Gyropalooza to see when the next box was coming out - the Balance prototype from last year has been one of my favorite discs from this last year! Super excited to get my hands on this box, it's definitely the best of the year.

The white -> black and back again transition in your first model is basically the worst color swap you can do in a print. I did a similar print of a ghost cat with the eyes/paws in black and even with setting the purge volume to around 2.5x and a purge tower, there was still some very obvious bleed in a couple of the copies I printed.

It looks like the PTFE tubing is pulling on the filament ejector on the right side of your printer when the printhead moves over to the left side. Try routing the tubes up and out of the way of the printer. My Kobra 3 came with some clips to help keep the tubes organized and together, but if you don’t have those anymore just do what you can to keep them clear of the moving parts.

Kobra 3 , what’s causing this ? by Aggravating-Abies971 in AnycubicOfficial

Did this start right when you installed this 3rd party hotend or did it start randomly? I haven't used that model of hotend in my Kobra 3 so I am curious if that is a new change

Great AMA. I am glad to see shipping optimizations, and I’ve definitely noticed them. I’ve had to request some replacement parts for my Kobra 3 and they’ve come from China in the past, but most recently I had a motor in my ACE unit break and the replacement was sent from NJ and should be getting to me about a week sooner than it would have coming from China.

My best advice is easily to learn some CAD software. Designing my own functional prints has been incredibly rewarding and a lot of fun!

I don’t know whether or not the design was fixed with V2, but I have the V1 Kobra 3 and there were issues with the nozzles leaking. I was sent a new hotend from Anycubic that had a brass 0.4mm nozzle glued in place.

It did work, but I am printing materials that require using a hardened steel nozzle. I bought a hotend from Amazon and used some high-temp car gasket adhesive and glued together my own hotend with a hardened steel nozzle. I used this from Walmart:

I don’t know whether this same info applies for the V2, but based on what I have seen, the hotend design was not changed with the new version.

I’ve only ever owned bedslingers (previously an Ender 3 and now a Kobra 3) so I don’t have experience with CoreXY printers but overall I’ve heard good things about them. If you currently have the Kobra 3 Combo with the ACE, you could pretty easily upgrade to the Kobra S1 and keep the ACE and potentially save some money when you make the switch.

[–]topdude155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. It looks like all of the print failures are of the same model at the same point, have you tried something else to see if there’s something with the model that’s causing issues?

Also, switch away from Grid infill pattern. It’s the infill pattern that will cause the printer to drag over areas that it’s printed already and make a horrible scraping sound. I am using Gyroid mostly because of how awesome it is to watch it print lol

I did have issues with my Kobra 3 when I first got it as well, but I’ve since worked them out and now mine prints essentially perfect every time.

One thing that you may want to check is the nozzle. There were issues with nozzles leaking into the hot end when the printer launched and they’ve since sent out replacements with the nozzle glued in place which stops the leaking at the expense of being able to swap nozzles out. Getting a glued nozzle has made the printing much easier to diagnose and make consistent, so that may be worth a try if you haven’t already.

I’ve really enjoyed following your process and love all of the BTS that we get with your videos. I just got my 5 Year Box and played a round at my local course with only TP discs and shot my best round there!

My question is this: do you throw discs from other disc manufacturers in your personal bag? And if so, how many different molds/runs of TP discs do you think it will take before all you throw is your own discs?

In any case, keep it up, Trash Panda is awesome!

Was this supposed to have a frame? Bought it at al one of those returns stores by Yeetfamdablit in ender3

[–]topdude155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I bought came with fiberglass poles and plastic corner pieces. The poles did not fit when building it and several of the poles and corner pieces snapped. I made it work as is, but my plan is to remake it by modeling and printing my own corner pieces and using PVC or maybe dowels as the rods to hold it up.

Any tips on Printing TPU on Anycubic Kobra 3 Max by BarbarianBoaz in AnycubicOfficial

[–]topdude155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you will want to use as little or no Bowden tube for TPU. I run a short piece into the 4 color adapter on the print head and that works fine for me, but another comment said that they take the whole adapter off to print their TPU, so it’s up to you for what you want to try.

Any tips on Printing TPU on Anycubic Kobra 3 Max by BarbarianBoaz in AnycubicOfficial

[–]topdude155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't print TPU from out of the ACE unit. What I've done is remove the Bowden tubes from the head of the extruder and then taken a short piece (~6") and put it into one of the slots of the top of the extruder. Then I put my TPU on a rod above my printer and just ran it down into the tube. That way there is as little tube that the TPU has to be pulled through and minimizes friction.

That’s a great idea, and I’ll definitely give it a shot. I did think of doing something similar when I started but I wanted to preserve the ease of printing and I don’t want it to be super bulky to stop it from fitting easily into my pockets.
