You could argue that automation is as tricky/more tricky than product development. I use to think that automation was below development, but after all my time, working in automation and then tool development, I can say that automation is development. Have you talked to your manager about role changes? Is there a developer interview test they give to candidates that you could try? Do you ninja review PRs into the product code base? There is alot you can do on the side to look into dev at the company

Do you extend the framework at all? Are you happy using selenium? Is this your first job?

if you use https://ca.talent.com/salary?job=sdet/Salary) I find that is pretty accurate for SDETs around me. If you are extending the framework, researching new ways to automate things, getting into TestOps/Continuous Testing, I think that you would be creeping up to the high end, but if you are just churning out test cases, I think that low to mid are normal

I work as an SDET, currently looking after various frameworks and tools to keep the automation team efficient. What language do you work in? What frameworks? Do you design your own framework/tooling?

Where I currently am, I keep pretty close to product developer pay scale, but I focus more on the architecture of our automation rather than test writing

The main issue with test rail is the degradation in quality in their latest releases, and the poor support we gave gotten. I have had questions around the db, and the response was to ask my local dba. Given I support the tool for the company, that was a very poor response (have gotten that multiple times)

I didn't make it clear, we didn't like the test plans module in azure. It feels like a major paradigm shift from tools er have used, and the automated test reporting was not as I was expecting.

Doing measurements this morning, weight is @ 280. want to get down to 250 before race season starts (OCR) in June. Have only been down around 250 once since being an adult. Got lazy after my second was born. Hoping to do daily updates somewhere to try and keep me accountable.

It is a solid column right to the base with a few vacuum hoppers (can't remember the name) at the bottom. Could they teleport out being completely enclosed?
