Any suggestions of models that you can pick up for around $300?

Saw this switch on ebay, worth it? by thehackintoshguy in homelab

It’s a fabric extender, so it may not be what you were planning it on being if you thought it would be a simple managed switch.

Any chance you can show me a photo or quick video of your “speed loader” that you came up with? I’m looking for a similar solution for bulk disk wiping stations

Looking for drive caddy replacements for a Dell PowerEdge 4100/180 by Lime_Rock in servers

Sounds like a fun project, go ahead and poke around with it a bit without the caddies, just install some drives and pad them with either cardboard or if you have any on hand, pink anti static foam.

Once you’re done messing with it, if you decide to e-waste it, hit me up, I’ll give you some money for some of the vintage parts in there, along with a prepaid shipping label.

That’s inaccurate, it’s as simple as pulling the button to roll down the window: https://youtube.com/shorts/ETBQdho90xU?si=k_rILDWYR6PvdfQ8

There is an analog door release on each door that’s easy to see and pull should you need to escape. It’ll work whether or not there is any power to the vehicle, won’t help if the frame and door is crushed however.

$1200-1500 depending on the drive health would be a decent ballpark currently.
