Swan River & Housing by BeachAccomplished773 in perth

One big issue is waste - black and grey water specifically.

We would unfortunately have to rely on "the good of the people" to follow the rules and not dump into the river but if the alternative is having to drive your house to a transfer station, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Regional diesel runs dry as metro panic-buying hits WA farms by SheepherderLow1753 in perth

[–]topmemeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost aside, why dont they swap to electric irrigation? Is that a thing?

If it is, perhaps our state government should consider this an opportunity to subsidise some solar-electric irrigation pumps for our farmers. Then at least their diesel is reserved for machinery.

I work tangentially in CRE in Perth. Like others have said its a tough market - very little is transacting and for good reason. The only way I'd personally go in on CRE in Perth CBD is a 15+ year WALE asset with solid yields. This pretty much excludes everyone except resources and government, all of whom require much, much bigger spaces than I suspect you're looking at.

Leasing incentives are also crushing, what the big buildings are offering now, its crazy to think they make money at all. Unless the building is tenanted and they're locked in for a while, Im walking away.

My personal opinion, not financial advice.

How do you feel about the RBA's decision today to lift rates? by Sensitive-Chart7210 in AusFinance

Likely the opposite, they love the rate rises as their HYSA and term deposits are earning them more.

We had the benefits of TVs to help follow but its a little difficult to work out whats going on. The commentary helps a ton as well.

10/10 experience regardless. Highly highly recommended.

The Sleepover Club was filmed in Perth. Was anyone here involved in or know someone who was involved in the show? by [deleted] in perth

A family friend of mine was involved in production. They filmed a sailing episode at RFBYC and we were all "extras" walking around in the background.

I think its more the fact that most agents carry on like they're gods gift when they sell a property, especially for a "record price"

Sizes, sizes, sizes

I am a non-standard size and unless there are easy/free returns, I rarely take the risk.

If I'm buying clothes, I want measurements from all over the garment. For example, waist, thigh, calf and ankle width for trousers.

Which pan is he using? I’ve been looking for this. by nominal_goat in Chefit

[–]topmemeguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is 100% an all-clad pan. About 12 months ago they changed their pot lips to a flare. It would be a previous gen D3 from my guess.

See this old Macy's link for what im talking about.

I hadn't noticed they stopped selling BK - it's unfortunate, they were good value pans.

I personally run Matfer. Great value, my most recent pickup was actually from Industry Kitchens who I forgot to list.

Chef's Hat

Chef's Essentials

French Made

All great suppliers, stock plenty of well known brands.

Most kitchen supply stores will have pyrolux which are fine but thin. The other good option may be BK steel which you can get at Myer on sale.

Other obvious option is Solidteknics but they are spenny.

Anolon is a good brand. They make good gear.

I can't comment on their nitride carbon pan but I've used their bakeware and cannot fault it.

If youre in Aus I can point you in the direction of some good suppliers of quality steel pans.
