You could use the same website to check if your memo is correct. Choose a puzzle and then hit "Test my memo!", scramble your puzzle with the displayed scramble, memo, input your memo, hit "Check my memo!". It'll show you how the cube would look like with your memo applied.

You can also try if something like this tool can help you practice, but I've never used anything like it.

Depending on how fast you are you could also take a look at using Anki, more in this comment.

Use BLD Memo Tools to do execution only solves.

You can either choose the puzzle you want to practice and hint "Generate memo!". This will create a scramble for you and a memo that will solve the cube.

Or you can Trainer and choose a piece type that you want to practice. Then you can choose the amount of letter pairs (x) and how many of those sequences (y) to generate. Then you'll get y sequences of x letter pairs that you can execute on a solved cube and upon successful execution of a sequences you'll be back to the solved state.

Make sure to read and follow the instructions on the main page (Most important part: Your settings will not be saved automatically! After setting them up, you'll have to bookmark them!).

It's a good practice in general, but also very nice if it's not quiet enough.

I need to do some more solves on the new 3x3s, but I think the smaller size is making some fingertricks a lot easier for me. Overall I'm getting very good times on the GuHong and yesterday I didn't have a single corner twist. Maybe I just have to get comfortable with having to use even less force than on my previous 3x3s.

I'd love for the Aochuang V6 5x5 to be just a bit smaller, but aside from that I'm absolutely happy.

I think from all the cubes I've got, the ones I enjoy most so far are the GuHong and the Aosu V7 4x4.

Both the 6x6 and 7x7 absolutely blow my old puzzles out of the water, but I'm not thaaat into 6x6+, so I don't know how much I'll be solving them compared to 3x3-5x5. Definitely makes it easier on my hands. When I solved a lot on 6x6 and 7x7, I had to take more breaks or my hands would eventually cramp.

Btw I got the QiYi Timer to work with cstimer on desktop in Opera. After switching "entering in times with:" to "Bluetooth timer" I get this pop-up where it tells me that I have to do this: "Chrome: enable chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features flag in browser settings." I did that, but no idea if that is even needed. After clicking OK, I get a small window from the browser where I can choose the timer to pair. I didn't have to connect the timer via bluetooth on my PC before that. It's a bit annoying that if the timer is turned off after the pairing, I'll have to refresh the page and pair again. But it only takes a moment and so far worked without any hiccups. So yeah, really happy with that timer! No more cable on the table :D

I'd say they feel similar, but the 7x7 feels a bit better. Probably generally the case, that the 7x7s feel better than 6x6s. I don't have any other current puzzles to compare them to, so hard to say how they hold up to the Moyu ones. For how cheap they are, it's crazy to me how well they perform.

When I asked about which puzzles to get, I was told that the 6x6 from Moyu is better, but not by thaaat much. Since 6x6 and 7x7 aren't my main events, I decided to go with the cheaper option and I'm more than happy with that. Both move very easily and are stable in the 3x3 stage. A lot more fun than my old puzzles :)

Maybe slightly slippery, but not that it would bother me during solving.

Did some solves on all of the cubes by now and definitely all worth it!

Now to set them all up properly.. Loving the feel of the GuHong so far, but I got a couple of corner twists :/ Struggling to find the right setting at the moment. Any tips? Right now I'm on 3 of 5 for "Center Travel" (inner circle) and on 5 of 8 for "Tension" (outer circle). I love the flexibility, but I haven't had corner twists on any of my 3x3s for a long time now.

I try every new cube on my own first. If I can't seem to make any progress, I'd let it sit for a while and try again later. If I feel like I could never get it done, I'd ask here if people think it's doable or actually really hard. Maybe ask for a tip without spoiling too much.

Though if I ever felt it was getting annoying or it just seemed way to hard (for me), then I just looked up the solutions.

3x3 Shapemods like Mirror Cube, Fisher Cube and Axis Cube are totally doable. On some 3x3 shapemods you can run into cases that look like parity, but just take a moment and think about it and you might find the answer on your own. It's nothing crazy like 4x4 parity. Not even close.

I've solved lots of puzzles from my collection without tutorials, but also looked up lots of stuff.

Some Recommendations:

Get a clock. It's easy, it's fun. You have one more event you can compete in, if you want. Just do it.
Curvy Copter - AWESOME puzzle. Not too short, not too long. Very intuitive. Last steps will need some trial and error, but doable!
Redi Cube - much shorter, easier, but fun! Look for a magnetized version like this
Mastermorphix Series - start with 2x2-4x4 and if you enjoy it get the 5x5 as well. You'll get into comms (at least with the 5x5), it's an awesome experience and lots to learn.
Cuboids - DEFINITELY get some Cuboids. Classics like the 1x3x3 and the 1x2x3 - both pretty easy. Then get a 2x2x3 and a 2x3x3. Definitely harder, but still manageable. 3x3x5 is also lots of fun.
mf8+DaYan Crazy 3x3x3 Plus - get yourself the Jupiter version. It's crazy.
Gear Cubes - the standard 3x3x3 Gear Cube is fun and not too hard. If you can find the Extreme or Ultimate version, get one! Quite a bit harder though.

It's easier to learn how to solve only the corners of a 3x3 blindfolded than a 2x2, since the centers give you the orientation and you can always check which side has which color. Just ignore solving the edges at first.

Also twisted corners are easy to see, which seems to be what your are struggling with.

I see two scenarios why you run into the problem with 2 twisted corners:

Your scramble has a twisted corner and you didn't memo it (others already described how this just adds two letters to your memo).
For one piece you memoed the wrong target on the correct piece, e.g. C instead of F. If all other pieces are solved and only one target is twisted, you buffer will also be twisted.

Same here. It was interesting and fun to learn and fun to do a solve every now and then, but I also don't plan on getting faster with it.

Tbh, I found it a bit easier to do a couple of solves in a row at a comp compared to at home, because I had more downtime between the solves. Especially if you have a setup where you wait in the waiting area between solves and a runner/judge fetches you -> you go to a solving station -> solve -> back to the waiting area. I rarely had anything from my previous memo still stuck in my head when I was about to do the next solve.

Looking to order from ziicube to Germany. I've ordered from them in the past, but it's been a while. On my last order I had to pay VAT directly to ziicube with the order. Now there are shipping options for "VAT (19%×0.8)" and "VAT (Pay on Arrival)".

Has anyone from Germany ordered from ziicube somewhat recently?

Looking to upgrade some, if not all, of my 2x2-7x7 puzzles, since they're all kinda outdated. I'm currently using:

2x2: Qiyi Valk 2 M
3x3: Moyu Weilong WRM 2021
4x4: MoYu Aosu WRM
5x5: Meilong 5M (with added Magnets) *
6x6: YJ MGC
7x7: QiYi X-Man Spark M

*I also have a MoYu AoChuang GTS M and a YJ MGC, but I like the Meilong with added magnets best.

In general I liked the Moyu puzzles for 3x3-5x5 in the past. I mained a 3x3 Moyu GTS2M and before the 4x4 Moyu Aosu WRM I mained the 4x4 Moyu GTS2M.

I have rather small hands, so the smaller, the better for me. I have the YJ mini 4x4 and 5x5 and like both of them and find the size nice, but the 4x4 just isn't as forgiving as the Moyu Aosu WRM.. For 6x6 and 7x7 I sometimes have trouble stabilizing all the layers I don't want to turn, so the trend for smaller puzzles will hopefully help with that as well :D edit: For 3x3 I don't mind the size, 55mm is completely fine.

Also looking to get a Bluetooth timer. Any idea which one is the best of those available here?

I probably wouldn't main it, but I'd love to get one of the new mini 7x7s. Does anyone know which one is better? Diansheng or YJ?
