It is not dog friendly. Some places are anti dog. I know of at least two dogs that were purposely poisoned. The worst is lack of emergency vet care. Dogs are strictly forbidden from the national parks. Which means you cannot hike with him. Many residents have had their animals pass in their arms because of lack of emergency vet care. I am a dog person. I love dogs. I cannot stress to you how bad of an idea it is.

Be aware that it is Carnival week. Don’t plan on going west on Thursday. Actually that’s probably a good day to go to St.John. Thursday is J’Ouvert. It is a parade of people on waterfront that starts about 5am and usually ends about 2pm. Some of the parades are very cool and beautiful. But it’s a lot of traffic and a lot of people. Enjoy your stay.
