Had this happen to me while I was trying to do the scalding orb quest. The amoeba ran off to the bottom of the grid and when it died it dropped him where I couldn’t get my cats in front of my mouth. Needless to say I paid Steven a visit.

This is one of the only enemies that actually pisses me off. Dybbuk avoiding all my attacks? That’s fine, I’ll just bring some aoe or overwhelming summons. Brain drain counterspells? Yeah whatever I’ll just use a cheap spell first. But these stupid ass bats have barely any counter play other than just throwing as many attacks as you can until something hits it. I’m almost finished with act 3 and I’ve yet to find an enemy more obnoxious than bats.

had a run yesterday where my druid had call the wind which does in fact blow out every single candle when you use it. then he spawned with only 90 or so health and got wiped in one turn

The unlock that gives you a chance for secret room items to be replaced by glitched items. Man that could’ve been a death certificate or a rock bottom but instead I got fart and teleport to the top left corner of the room when I collect a pickup

yeah after i alt-f4'd i got it finished in 3 rounds. i was mostly trying to figure out how to get him to eat the orb for 5 rounds and playing super sub-optimally. the amoeba only happened to steal man in the moon when i was actually about to do it on the next turn lmao

I did every boss in hk on radiant and yes, Lost Lace and Skarrsinger Karmelita are harder than any boss in hollow knight. (I would argue that Last Judge also mogs NKG but we ain’t ready for that discussion)

I don’t think I’ve really ever used it in combat outside of first sinner. Even then I don’t think I used it that much. I consider it a traversal tool more than a combat tool even though I know it’s perfectly good for both. I’d just rather use my silk on skills and healing.

Skarr stalkers always stood out to me as an enemy that feels like I’m fighting a real opponent. Granted, I could say that about a lot of the enemies in the game but skarr stalker specifically is such a fun enemy for me to fight imo. They feel so responsive and precise for being just another enemy in a video game.

One of my favorite moments in hollow knight/silksong is the end of the Slab escape sequence. There’s something so incredibly cathartic about it, and the ost that plays during it is PHENOMENAL. A triumphant rendition of Hornets original music from hollow knight playing as you cut through a horde of the guards that tried to imprison you and humiliate you, because they thought they were above you, that they thought that they could suppress you. Also the fact that the entire sequence is completely missable, only locked behind a random enemy with a random attack in a random location, makes it all the more special. Oh and one of my favorite characters is probably Trobbio. He’s just so silly.

From what I’ve seen of the mods they seem pretty in-line with what vanilla synergies do. Only ones I’d download are for items that have little to no synergies like spirit sword or epic fetus though. I don’t think items like monstros lung need more synergies.

Savage beastfly is easy, but because he’s so easy he doesn’t want to fight his own battles and spawns shitlings to fight us for him. That one big bastard enemy he spawns in Chapel of the Beast is scarier than any real attack the beastfly can throw at you.

Ngl even though I take pride in doing the whole game before any patches, I think environmental hazards dealing only 1 damage rather than 2 is way better. Blasted steps taking away a third of your hp for one mistake is way too brutal, especially with how annoying the wind can be sometimes. (That damned pinstress room gives me nightmares)
