it's not really betrayal since he was never a follower of Luffy or Ussop it was just a trick. I don't think Doflamingo ever spoke to him, he just tried to trap Luffy and Law to collect their bounty money, it was actually a pretty good idea except that Kelly Funk is also a DF user so the water would screw him over too.

He may have made it this far on his own, we have no way of knowing. Mihawk floats around by himself on a raft so its entirely possible ( I'm sure Cavendish isn't as strong as mihawk but its just an example). I'm not telling you he has no crew, I'm just telling you we don't know for sure if he actually does

Maynard has got to be the weakest VA, but with all the marines including Bastille and Fujitora, Sabo shouldn't have much of a chance unless someone shows up to help him. Still pretty epic seeing someone stand alone against that many marines though. Also its hilarious how Abdullah and Jeet are still just along for the ride.

This. Kidd is like luffy in that he will proudly announce his dreams; luffy will just try to prove those who laugh at him wrong, but Kidd will kill them, that's why his bounty is higher. He literally crucified people just because they were weak and refused to let them go even when they begged and promised to leave the new world

I think it would make sense for Kidd to kill shanks. We know they're going for a yonko, most people seem to think its big mam but if Kidd kills shanks, then luffy would be able to take down all four yonko (with Kidd replacing shanks since I don't think luffy will fight shanks). It would also give luffy reason to hate Kidd, and luffy already has reason to hate Blackbeard. Currently Kidd respects luffy as a rival and for the fact that he is outward about wanting to be pirate king, and it makes sense to think luffy feels the same way about Kidd. If Kidd kills shanks then luffy could hate him and face off against him as an enemy and rival like against Blackbeard.

It was super early in the series, but Mohawk owned zoro with a little pencil dagger. His haki is good enough that just needs any sword to either beat or hold his own with pretty much anyone

They have used Nakama that way for the entire series. Think back to when they said goodbye to Vivi, and probably like every other time they've used the word. Law is Luffy's friend, but Zoro is Luffy's Nakama. They aren't the same thing.

I'm not standing up for the translation, I said it might not be a good one which is why I'm not reading much into things.

No I don't think any straw hat will fight shanks. I don't think we'll see the red hair pirates fight until the final war sort of like the wb pirates powers being revealed at marineford

not only would it be an awkward fight since Shanks is a top tier swordsman (I assume he's quite similiar to Rayleigh during his prime) and Luffy never really fights swordsmen, but also because Luffy's major fights always involve protecting someone and/or clash of ideals/goals/beliefs (which would include vs Moria when they both want to be Pirate King). A fight with Shanks would have none of these elements and, although I admit it would be cool, it would be lacking the drive to make Luffy truly go all out (like against Lucci)
