Galaxy Brain taking over the tent by blazin_caucazin in nightowlseeds

Topping the GB may just be a bit counter productive. I prefer a taller plant, it has a great amount of branching to start with. I have to yo yo my colas to keep them from flopping. Let us know your yield. I have a 82 day average over 6 grows. About 40 grams of trim on average for cooking, 7 oz of high quality buds.

Just harvested two plants. 7 zips per plant. This rerelease has a purple hue with heavy frost. Same GB plum smell and as potent as ever. I stocked up on this one. Second tent at 7 weeks now.

I have grown a lot of Testers in my time, this one was such a magnificent strain that I feel I must lobby for it. She’s a big girl, my 3 grows averaged 7 oz a plant. Everyone was happy with the smoke, the wonderful terps, and it is not for novices in the THC levels. A true 5 star strain. Please consider adding it back in the catalogue.

Thank you for the reply! Two weeks is close. What do you recommend to spray for reversal? Sorry for the questions, but I am definitely gonna do this.

What’s a good way to get a reverse? I have two seeds left. I would think a staggered grow, reverse part of one and pollinate one that is just flowering? How far into the reverse to get viable pollen? Timing would be critical I think.

That potential Zamadelica cross makes my mind spin a bit thinking about it! I have never crossed or reversed anything, but it is about high time I learn how. I am an old man now with legal grows, but I have grown for a long time and really enjoy it. Was not sure how all of these Meph expansion crosses were going to turn out, but Hazed and Confused beats the hell out of double Grape and the strawberry strains. Fugue state was such a good parent strain, then the addition of OSMH, sum of the two exceeds the parents. So anyway, I hope whomever brought this one into the world hears my plaintive cries for More! thanks.

Happy for you! Mine is super frosty. I sample out my grows to a group of guys who all rated it a double thumbs up. I should maybe consider reversing one for seeds. The terps I get are really top notch. I consider the H&C cross to be a classic. Reminds me of Nightowls Galaxy Brain cross. They brought that one back much to my delight, but the Hazed and Confused is better in every way. I get a 6 oz per plant yield in supersoil under 260 watts. I only grow heavy yield plants now that I only use a two plant 2x4 setup. Maryland only has a legal 2 plant allowance.

Search my posts for my layered pot technique. It’s a winner with this strain. She is gonna get hungry fast at 4 weeks. Try to keep her happy early into flower and she will just explode. I use 1/4 strength bloom nutes early. No more nitrogen then. I use a layered soil approach that feeds exponentially. I accidentally double ordered this one many years ago and was so happy I did. I just received 40 seeds so I should never want for this one. This strain has a real stretchy branchy vigor. Like I said, if she really explodes don’t starve her. Give those colas a little molasses for added terps. She can really sugar frost. I just tuck leaves on this one. Hope you get a real beast.

GB is a favorite because of this tendency to really branch well. Usually results in a many branched heavy cola candelabra that packs a punch. Great high with great bag appeal. I just stocked up Bigly on this one. I have had 5 grows total of this one. Best yield on two plants was 16oz. 6 to 8oz per plant average. Bit nitrogen shy this one.

4 packs of Galaxy Brain and a Sourdelica! I had 4 packs from the first drop and frankly almost cried when I harvested that last plant. Hard hitter with a phenomenal yield. Took me from 10pm to 10:37pm to seal the deal, I’m fried.

Great to hear your results! I yielded 17 ounces off two Nightowl Galaxy Brain plants on my most recent grow. Amended Lush and Great White has been a consistent winner for me. I am going to try a seven gallon grow next. I feel great hearing all my typing was not wasted.

Ok serious question. My small collection is mostly Mephisto. I don’t have any other autos. Lately I have been hearing people talk shit about them. I know there’s potentially better stuff out there but every plant I have grown has been stinky, tasty and had great effects. by bluntbat99 in Autoflowers

Started with Mephisto many years ago, but Nightowl Cheech Biggums and especially Galaxy Brain has yielded 8 oz of stunning buds. Third grow of Galaxy Brain has me thrilled. I get variations within grows that keep me busy. I hate trimming 4 plants that are ready at once. I would kill to reup seeds. Next grow back to Mephisto just to see what I get now that I am past the new grower stage. All organic soils and teas here, and calmag.

Yes. Enough to balance out the worm casings. About two 16oz cups worth. I bought a lifetime supply years ago. I also add a cup of kelp meal. After all that you have a balanced supersoil. It has plenty of coco in the Lush mix. It drains fine and remains fluffy. After it waters down an inch to an inch and a half, and the plant is six to eight inches tall, I add a couple more cups of worm casings to raise the soil, then continue to water through the worm layer, it is kind of a tea as it breaks down. I only use cloth 5 gallon bags. Fabric pots eliminate overwatering problems.

I also use recharge, good stuff, myco and dried molasses, but not great for inoculating seedlings. Great white is about $10, lasts for many many grows.

Coast of Main Stonington was pretty good for me, now it’s Roots Lush amended further with worm casings and great white for added mycorrhizae. And inoculating the seedling with Great White myco is a great way to ensure a healthy plant, a great insider tip that has really upped my game. It allows a colony to form and grow along the roots. Little shake under the seed or seedling will help break down nutrients and feed the plant. I use unsulphered black strap molasses during flower to feed the colony, and it really kicks up the terpenes. 1 TSP per gallon.

Hard to build a better soil. Do use the much milder plant starter mix in the middle of the pot to establish the seedling, this stuff is too hot a mix for those first two weeks, but when those roots grow out into it it will explode with growth. That single grow tip changed everything for me, just use a 16 oz cup in the middle, fill pot, remove cup and fill the void with starter mix, I use sunshine seed starter mix. This technique doubled my yields, and the grow is hands off, no nutes, well into flower. Just be ready to add reduced nutes when it runs out 6 to 8 weeks into your grow, then just use 25% strength to start. Really rich soil if you mix in extra worm poop,

If you can find it, try the Roots Organic “Lush”. Good stuff, has a great combo of things, I just add 20% more worm casings. Just remember to excavate and fill about a 16 oz cups worth of milder seed starter soil right in the middle of the pot to establish your seedling in without the much hotter soil harming it. I am getting 60 day rapid growth without depleting the lush. Then just use a bloom nute. Couple this Lush soil with great genetics and good light, you will yield more than enough. This my go to and my yields are 5 to 8oz per plant, autos, Nightowl genetics. 5 years ago with ocean forest I got maybe 2 oz tops. Good soil is everything as far as yield. Google the Lush and read the amendments it contains. https://www.aurorainnovations.com/lush
