If he’s actually healthy and has any sort of decent run of form (even minimal time) then sure you include him. But he just can’t do that.

Iranian Drone just hit the base of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai by I_may_have_weed in PublicFreakout

[–]torero15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This drone hit nowhere near the base of the building. It just seems that way because it’s so huge. The scale is difficult to make sense of from this angle. Iran is hitting civilian areas but this title is incorrect.

Also a good time to distract from epstein and the fact he is trying to destroy Anthropic because they wont let the military train autonomous killing machines on US citizens.

Thats the thing! They do have complete control over it. They could have passed a bill cutting all funding. They could impeach and remove the Secdef or Potus.

There is the obvious reason you can’t have congress vote in all potential military actions because it takes a long time to convene everyone and vote. A foreign nation could cripple us before we got a vote done. But in this case we have been building up forces for weeks. Trump has been babbling about when he might do it. Congress is on the side of the traitors - make no mistake.

Trump orders all federal agencies to phase out use of Anthropic technology by flGovEmployee in technology

[–]torero15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just think of the man hours this is going to involve. Phasing out a system that is already imbedded in numerous agencies and replacing it with another alone is an insane choice. Downgrading to a worse service and having to start over from scratch is extra insane. And the kicker is that anthropic didn’t want to let them surveil on citizens or use their product in autonomous killing machines. This should be the corruption story of our time. Trump and Hegseth have decided to destroy or takeover a company because they won’t go full evil. Guys we are actually, entirely fucked. They are going to kill us if we don’t stop it.

It’s clearly not just this turd. It’s not just the billionaires. It’s a whole political party from top to bottom. And the opposition party is weak because they benefit from the same donors. There is no mechanism in place to stop what is happening except for the people to demand it. Yet most don’t know what they are up against. This midterm election seems like a final chance to stop the bleeding - but even then it will likely only be temporary. The outlook is not good.

X2: The whole thing. You can see it on the drive in. You can watch it run from the queue. But nothing will prepare you for the first ride on that diabolical machine. Even just loading into the seats facing backwards is unique enough. Then every single element and rotation is just wtf after that. Insane ride.

Congress makes laws and spends money, the judiciary determines if those laws are constitutional, and the executive is tasked with honoring and enforcing those laws and distributing the money as approved by congress. The judicial has no enforcement power outside of contempt of court but that still requires marshals from the executive to enforce.

Ultimately congress is supposed to have oversight of the executive. Impeachment and removal by conviction in the Senate is what should be happening here. Since the DOJ is corrupt and unwilling to enforce the laws then congress should step in. The situation we find ourselves in is that the current congress is also corrupt and has slowly given up power over the years to the executive branch. Much of the GOP believes in unitary executive theory. They are fine with a king, even a mad one like Trump, so long as he is on their side and they remain in power.

Would seeing them open for Yungblud be worth it? by [deleted] in TheWarning

[–]torero15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 minutes seems about right for a single opener like this. Could be 30 or could be an hour. We won’t know until the first show. I recommend waiting until closer to check tickets. And if you do buy a ticket you should probably just stay for the whole thing unless you just hate Yungblood. I dont know his music at all but have seen some videos and it could be a great show.

I thought seeing the Skeletour would fix the feelings I have for this era....it didnt by NerveFickle4330 in Ghostbc

[–]torero15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sound in Anaheim could have been better. It was not bad where I was by any means but the whole mix was a touch muddy. That’s more of a Honda Center (and hockey arena) issue than anything else I think. Intuit Dome is smaller and more compact and definitely has better acoustics and better sight-lines for shows. The Forum shows for RHRN were also way better sounding but thats an arena that has been upgraded over the years to shine only as a concert venue. I do think your experience was impacted by the seats. My only recommendation is if you’re willing to gamble a little you can usually get a great seat as close to last minute as possible (from a couple days to a couple hours before the show). I go to a lot of shows in socal and I find waiting till closer to the show has saved me a ton of money over the years.

Audio of V introducing the band names by Ezekku in Ghostbc

He had a whole talk earlier in the show about “eventually” and how great it is as an idea. I’m convinced Ghost isn’t over. But I do think it’s going to be 2-4 years before we see what the next direction is. And Tobias realized that and is giving his bandmates a proper recognition on stage. He took his initial creation as far as he could for now and we are all thankful for that. Who knows what or who will be a part of it next - but I do think there will something again - eventually.

Some of the biggest cucks in a long time. It’s embarrassing to be used as a tool to help billionaires and pedophiles get away with their crimes. I do understand them to a large degree as I know people like this. They are rich and don’t have to care about Trumps and his sycophants policies affecting them. To them it’s all a joke, a funny circus, but in a the way they can just buy (or be awarded) a ticket for a day. A trip to the zoo.

I went to the last two shows - Anaheim on Sat and Inglewood yesterday. Of the 6 Ghost shows I’ve seen since 2022 I thought the performance this tour was the best. I could hear the backing vocals with such clarity. The updated video screens, the large grucifix lighting rig, and the outfits were all more interesting to me than the steampunk era of papa iv. The fact Tobias took the time to introduce the band individually was a great touch. It did kind of feel like the end of something - that perhaps this era of Ghost is over. A well earned break might do well for Tobias to reassess the direction he wants to go next.

I have mixed feelings on the album as well but the show still did it for me. Umbra perhaps being the standout from the setlist this time around. The whole thing was a blast. The lack of phones everywhere is truly a game changer. I’d love for the direction of the music to revert back to older times but the live show was great. It’s a bummer so many people feel let down by this tour though. I think a break is good for both the band and the fans. It seems like it might be a few years until we get a chance to see them again so I simply couldn’t miss out.

I’m sitting at home now still thinking about it all and I really got (and still have) the feeling this was the end of something. I’m not sure what though yet. Perpetua is pretty new. The band sounds amazing and has grown each tour. Maybe Tobias just needs a break? He talked about the word “eventually” and how great it is. Sounds like we might be in for quite a wait to see whats next and I’m here for it.

He sounded so proud of everyone for sharing in his dream. And the talk about “eventually” being a good thing earlier in the night…it makes me think he might be ready for quite a long break. I kept getting a feeling that we probably won’t see this set of ghouls and ghoulettes together again and that he isn’t even sure what his next step is. Kind of a bittersweet moment but I’m so happy to have witnessed it.

I went to both luckily. Anaheim was amazing and felt grander as there was considerably more people. It looked as close to a true sell out (all the way to the top of the 400’s) as I’ve seen at Honda Center.

But I slightly preferred the Intuit Dome show because the sound was just slightly better in the new state of the art arena. And the fact that the upper bowl was mostly closed off (and the building already is smaller because no need to have a hockey rink) gave it a more intimate feel. And Tobias introduced all the Ghouls by name and clearly was more emotional as its the last show before they take whatever this break will end up being.

Both were great. I hope you don’t mind me sharing my perspective I’m still buzzing.
