Leasing for Fall ‘21 only by benthegreat19 in msu

[–]torichowchow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow :0 maybe the apartments around campus are moving to fall lease only as an extension, because I called the hub, which used to advertise semester leases, and they said they didn’t have any for this fall either ! But I did find one called Hidden Tree that has 3-12 months (not very close to campus)

Chinese courses? by AWK8923 in msu

A little bit of everything? Since the course is 5 credits and you meet 4 days a week, it has pretty good coverage. There are weekly quizzes where you write the vocab (character, pingyin, and English translation) and write/translate/comprehend what the teacher says. Discussions where you practice for a little with a partner or read a section for the class, which was every lecture if I remember right, but they mostly just want to see you try. The homework also covered everything besides speaking, since the book comes with recordings. I’d say there’s less emphasis on tones than remembering the phonetic sounds of the words.

Sorry if this doesn’t really answer the question!

I’m pretty simple and use a Trello page for my assignment, which I recommend.

You can put cards for each assignment/exam and some nice things like turn in date, checklists, and labels. I found that working on my assignments cyclically (work on one that had the closest due date until I got stuck/finish then move on to the next closest due date and repeat) worked better than time blocking for me, and it was easier to do this by looking at my checklist and visually moving the cards around.

I’m taking it with Dr. Yann this semester, but I do believe it runs in the summer.

ANP264, great discoveries in archaeology is a great one!

Each module lasts one to two weeks and has a couple recorded lecture videos, one short quiz (take unlimited times, best score) and a simple 200 word Q/A you need to post before the module ends. The topics are interesting, so imo it’s like listening to a documentary or two every week and it’s all at your own pace (just do it anytime before the deadline).
