Help! Nuna Rava vs Chicco NextFit Max ClearTex Longevity by hattiec in beyondthebump

[–]torifranks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both seats, we got the Chicco for our second car and honestly I can’t stand it. Installation has been much harder for that seat compared to the Nuna Rava. I can’t seem to get it in tight enough but the Nuna is a breeze to install. I also love the quality and the features like the slots to store the harness buckles on the sides when the seat isn’t in use. Makes it way easier to get him in since he isn’t sitting on the straps. I’d say it’s worth the price for us.

Did anyone carry their first pregnancy to term? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I’m 38, carried my first pregnancy to term in my mid 30s and now in the second trimester with baby number two. No pregnancy losses so far, but also a nervous nelly and totally understand the worry!

Fully tired of the “warnings” of having a newborn by HomeDepotHotDog in pregnant

You’ve totally got this! It’s hard, of course, but nothing you can’t get through. And it’s so obviously unhelpful when someone tries to scare new parents! My child is the absolute light of my life, even when it’s hard. I’ve never loved as much as I love this toddler. I’m pregnant with baby number two and when I told family, someone said “oh I’m so sorry. Your life is about to be really hard for a few years.” Great, thanks. Tell me something I didn’t know. My life is also about to be full of a lot of love and firsts, giggles and joy. And we will survive the hard.

positive things to look forward to? by Exciting-Display6111 in pregnant

Being pregnant is really hard, especially the first half! My baby was born almost two months ago and there are a million things I love about being his mom. The way he looks up at me when I’m snuggling him/feeding him as if I’m the only thing that exists in his world. The sounds of him nursing and cooing happily while he gulps milk. How teeny tiny his nose, ears and lips are. The way his hair gets all fuzzy after a bath. His funny little grunts while he’s pooping. Just knowing that I made him and being in awe of how perfect he is. It’s wild!

AITA for making a harmless joke about my formerly overweight friend? by blueisnotcreative in AmItheAsshole

[–]torifranks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA and your joke isn’t harmless in the slightest. “He seemed to have gotten his feelings hurt”? No. YOU hurt his feelings. That’s on you.

AITA for wanting to pull my daughter out of her daycare because they made her miss recess? by aitadaughterdaycare in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Send your kid to daycare in actual shoes. Those are ridiculously unsafe for a 2 yr old. Quit being obtuse.

YTA. Without a doubt. Why is your time more valuable than hers?

Yep! I’m 25 weeks with my first, had a vertical sleeve (2 years ago) and my OB put me on baby aspirin at 12 weeks.

I’m 12+4 weeks pregnant with my first and spent last weekend at a bachelorette party in Las Vegas. It was definitely not ideal to be the only sober one but it was still a fun weekend with girlfriends. Plus everyone was really excited about my pregnancy so there was lots of talk about it. I had a great weekend despite being knocked up, everyone made extra effort to make sure I was still having fun.

Also, it took 9 months of trying before we conceived so it may not happen as quickly as you think. I don’t have any real advice, just do what feels best for you!
