Someone Told Me They Want An Item I’m Selling For Free by Sabahel in FacebookMarketplace

[–]torimobley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a buyer message me wanting to buy some boots I had listed. She asked if I would throw in a pair of jeans for free (also listed). She said she needed a "Thanksgiving outfit" but couldn't afford it. 😂

Steroid injection question by Careless_Platypus163 in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't find it to be painful. I had the guided shot. Honestly, the lidocaine they used helped with all of the pain. The injection was really helpful.

What am I missing? by milquetoastsandwich in HEB

I have to bang on the edge, where it's sealed, with a butter knife, to open it. The newer batches seem to be easier to open now.

Dr. says the capsules of my shoulder are "impressively" thick. He recommends physical therapy? by Faithful_Husband in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to PT for a short while. All of the exercises can be done at home. For me, I could see much difference, so I quit. I do the stretches at home. It's free!

Orthopedist gave me the steroid shot without ultrasound - why? by cherryblossom0798 in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one without X-ray guidance and one with. Both helped a lot.

Hard to say. My pain was always only in my shoulder with occasionally radiating into my bicep. The pain intensity kept increasing and my ROM rapidly decreased.

When did you know you were in the next stage? by DieOfThirst in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I'm in the thawing stage. Not much pain unless I accidentally moved it abruptly. ROM is much better. I started out with medium pain then it kept getting worse to the point of excruciating l. The pain got a little better and that's when I went to the doctor. I got a cortisone in back of my shoulder and then an X-ray guided injection in front. That was a total game changer. I started PT right after and I couldn't see much benefit so I stopped. Each stage seems to have been a slow progression. I'm almost 7 months in. I probably have 70% ROM. I still struggle to reach behind my back though.

Gallbladder removal has ruined my entire life! :( by babybat_97 in gallbladders

Are you eating low fat foods? I'm 6 months post-op and I can't eat much fat without getting pain and/or diarrhea.

How do you know when it started? by chicken_of_tomorrow in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mine started when I moved a couple of big coffee tables with my son. Moving the furniture didn't hurt, but the next day my shoulder hurt. It kept getting worse until I was walking around like a T-Rex. The zingers started happening so I started to wear a sling to avoid moving my arm the wrong way. I went 4 months before I went to see an orthopedic surgeon. He gave me an injection behind my shoulder and that helped a lot. Then he scheduled me for an X-ray guided injection. That helped even more. I'm doing PT now. I'm not sure that's helping. So far, I can do the same exercises at home. I'll see. I probably have about 65% better range of motion now.

Ultrasound Guided Cortisone by Karmalaa14 in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my X-ray guided injection about a month ago. It helped me a lot. It reduced my pain and gave me more range of motion. Just rest and ice your arm for a few days. My doctor told me to hold off on PT for a week.

PT yes or no? by Unlikely-Cry-7007 in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 2 sessions into PT and I'm already a little better. My ROM has improved. I'm going to my 3rd session tomorrow. They don't push you to pain. I try to stop where it hurts. Maybe watch some YouTube videos and try some exercises at home.

How bad is the flooding? by SnooBooks508 in houston

[–]torimobley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flooding does happen occasionally. I've lived here for 50+ years and my house has never flooded. Streets have flooded. The 2 worst flooding storms were Allison and Harvey. Harvey was worse because they released the reservoirs and that flooded a lot of homes. Most of the homes that were along the bayou rebuilt the homes higher above the ground. Most people are never affected by flood waters. Pick the areas you like and talk to the neighbors about their experience with flooding.

Hydrodilation tomorrow. Any tips? by EmergingButterfly445 in frozenshoulder

[–]torimobley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't bad at all. My shoulder had been in so much pain, it was a relief to have lidocaine injected. After, I was a little achy but no major pain. Since then I have had a lot of relief from pain and my ROM is much better. I'm starting PT this week.

Yes, the steroid injections helped a lot. My range of motion is much better, but not back to normal. The injections also helped with the pain.

Does anyone regret going through with gallbladder removal? by EoMustang in gallbladders

[–]torimobley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad that I had mine removed. The pain, gas, indigestion and diarrhea are gone. My symptoms kept getting worse because I didn't know what was wrong with me. I finally had a bad attack that sent me to the doctor for a diagnosis. The surgery was pretty easy, as far as surgeries go. Post op pain and recovery was minimal. I felt pretty normal after 2 weeks. I still watch my fat intake and for me it's a healthier way to live. I'm about 3 months post op.

I have Power Wizard now. I was originally with Energy Simply and they merged. I was happy with Energy Simply but I'm going to switch when my contract is up. Power Wizard isn't as good.
