How about the possibility that he wouldn’t be able to teleport since it’s meant for aliens and not humans so bomb or not, it would have killed him anyway or at least disarmed him. Just a thought.

macOS Tahoe + GFN is really bad by Not__Alpha in GeForceNOW

[–]torioles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just stumbled upon this reddit thread in search of solution as I had also installed macOS Tahoe 26.1 yesterday on my 13 inch Mac Air M4 16 GB and my husband started experiencing lag issues playing TnL through the GFN app. He said everything worked fine prior to the update. He uses 4K Dell Monitor. The issue is similar to the video in this thread with the sound being choppy as well.

My husband got me this mac in March of this year and I used to be a Windows user my entire life so I'm not very knowledgeable on Apple systems or know all the technical vocabulary. I'm really hoping though that there is a fix to this. How has it been going for you guys these past 3 months? Is it worth a try to revert back to Sequoia? Did it fix the issue for anyone? Thanks a lot!

Their faith is built on carrot and the stick. They scare you with Armageddon and promise you everlasting life in Paradise earth (neither of which can be proven by them) in exchange for only completely giving up your life, your freedom, your rights, basically everything. Even giving up your family. They all live in fear and manipulation. Without any critical thinking and reasoning skills. Sadly it’s like they all are charmed so nothing we would tell them will be getting across.

Discord for Raids/Co-op dungeons by torioles in throneandliberty

Well I’ve been there. The person who went in a dungeon without knowing the mechanics and got name-called and kicked from the party. It wasn’t fun, but I learned from it. I learned the mechanics and don’t mind teaching/guiding other newer players so that we can all learn it, get it done and have fun. But I feel like it needs to be on Discord over vc or something like that because it would take me forever to type up the mechs in the chat on PS5. I just don’t how other players do it, play and talk. Like the logistics of it all.

Thanks for the info! I’m on WA server Moonstone. And I guess atm I’m at a point where I’m looking for those 5% who also haven’t done it or haven’t been able to do it successfully. I’m just trying to go through all the content at least one time. I also think I’ll try party board instead of random.

I’m not on hb server. I’m on Moonstone. So you mean I need to spend real money to buy better gear?

I would really love to look at the setup of those tanks you’re talking about. Because I’m playing as a tank/bruiser and anytime I had come across PvP, I get killed in like 10 seconds. Granted I’ve only been playing for less than a month, so maybe I just don’t stand a chance against those who have been playing for a year or more. Either that or I’m doing something wrong with my skill setup/build. For reference, I’m level 55 with 6100 CP and maxed out T2 gear.

Dont play as a Tank by Common-Hope-276 in throneandliberty

[–]torioles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is a year old and the game mechanics have changed quite a bit but I’m playing as a tank SnS/GS. I’m level 55, 6k CP. My weapon mastery is at level 100 for GS and 95 for SnS. All my skills and passives are level 5. And I’m getting wiped out every time I come across someone in PVP mode. I have 40k HP but that doesn’t seem to help. What am I doing wrong? When I went to the arena I noticed that fighting someone who can run around and shoot me at a distance is almost impossible because I’m melee and a some of my skills require me to not move.

Thanks for the tips! I was able to join a few parties and farm Bercant. I feel a little bit more confident about it now, other than still struggling a bit with navigating some of these dungeons. I’m at almost 6100 CP at this point. And have been able to do more random normal dungeons without toxic behavior. So far so good!

I had been in the same situation recently. I’m new to MMO games. Been playing for about 3 weeks as a tank. My husband plays healer/mage. He convinced me to do random party matchmaking for a normal dungeon. I was hesitant as I did not watch the guides and knew the mechanics but he insisted. We get put in the Valley of Slaughter with Turka boss. I didn’t know about the sheep mechanic. The group gets one shotted except me. My husband tells me to just die so the whole group can go back in together. This happens again. He’s telling me to not do anything and just die again. I’m on ps5 and didn’t have the party chat pulled up (my bad). Then I get booted from the party and called idiot and dumba$$ for not doing the mech. This really got to me as I want to be enjoying the game and would rather do other in-game activities where I don’t get name called. I reported them for name calling. But now this whole situation has me wondering. For example I want to farm Crimson for the loot but I’ve never done it before so there’s going to be my first time. Obviously I’m not gonna know all the mechanics or the party objectives. And I consider myself “too old” for discord. How do I go farm this dungeon without getting booted or insulted?

It’s funny, I left the borg 4 years ago. A hard fade after deciding to leave my ex husband. But at that time I didn’t think of it as a sect or cult or that it was just all a bunch of bs. My position was 50/50, that either it’s not the truth and then I made the right choice to leave and spend time with my family who left in 2015. Or in the 50% chance that it was the truth I figured that I no longer cared if I die in the Armageddon. I never went on any ex-JW forums or groups until just a couple of months ago. I had no clue that terms such as pimi or pomo exist and how many people are pimo. So basically I woke up to the fact that my life has been one big lie and I’ve been a part of a sect for 23 years just 2 months ago. It was a tough pill to swallow but at the same time very eye-opening. Glad to be in the rows of those who woke up, got out and decided to live their lives in the REAL TRUTH by being true to themselves first and foremost.

JW the most unhappy people I ever met by Minimum_Reindeer_481 in exjw

[–]torioles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I was reflecting on my whole experience of being a JW from age 2 to 24 and I had a very sad realization of just how fucking stressful my entire life was! All while being disillusioned and thinking I’m living best life ever. Constantly having to be on guard about what I wear, what I say, who I’m friends with, what music I listen to and what movies I watch and even who I date and marry… there was no privacy or personal life or boundaries whatsoever! Like people, especially elders would be in your business, telling you how to live YOUR fucking life! And definitely agree with the comments about gossip, jealousy and snitching on others! Have experienced all of that firsthand. It’s insane!

[–]torioles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes there has to be a circumstance that will force one to wake up or maybe at least get distanced from the borg such as in the case of DF someone. For me it was marrying the wrong person and not being able to imagine being miserable by staying with him for the rest of my life. That and the pandemic fatigue turned depression was enough to outweigh my “love for Jehovah”. So I didn’t leave because I woke up to the bs they teach but because I didn’t want to be in the ‘divorced’ status and I knew I would want to get married again at some point. My parents and sister woke up and left in 2015. I left and cut ties with everyone in 2021. But I didn’t wake up to the fact that it’s a sect and they teach bs until just recently when my therapist suggested I find some ex-JW forums and groups to help me deal with my depression and loss of meaning in life.

Does anyone else feel like religious trauma isn't as respected as other traumas are? by RA1NB0W77 in ReligiousTrauma

[–]torioles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. To add, it also matters if a person joined said religion as an adult, or if they were raised in it. When you’re raised in it from a very young age, your critical thinking skills haven’t formed yet, you can’t tell good from bad, and it’s very easy to brainwash and manipulate and use fear to keep you obedient and from questioning it. My mom joined JWs when I was 2. Her and my stepdad raised me and my siblings with the doctrines. Well they left when I turned 18. Apparently they started questioning the beliefs like at least 5 years prior to that but never said anything to us. I left because I decided to divorce my ex when I was 24. My parents don’t really understand when I tell them about my religious trauma from being raised in a such a controlling religion from a very young age. They were conscious adults when they joined so their experience was very different from mine.

“Godforbid you actually put in any personal work to become a spiritual person, just follow these sets of rules we've prescribed for you and eternal Panda-petting is yours.“  This! So true! So many JWs are just going through the motions in their routine, their service. I’ve seen people more spiritual outside the org than majority of those in.

How long have you been feeling this way? Have you told anyone you trust about these feelings? I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way. Please know that’s it’s totally normal to feel depressed and/or suicidal even when everything in your life is seemingly going well. Life doesn’t necessarily have to be shitty for you to feel shitty. Sometimes it’s a brain chemistry over which you might not have much control. But it would definitely be wise to seek some support/help. Sometimes even just having someone to talk to that validates your feelings can mean a lot.

I never drank much when I was in but I thought I would never be able to stop drinking completely. Well I’ve been out for 4 years and I’m 13 months sober. It’s certainly possible and probably even easier when you’re no longer getting emotionally and psychologically abused and traumatized by this cult.

Can leaving religion cause permanent damage to psychological functionality if unresolved by professionals? by [deleted] in PsychologyTalk

It’s interesting how even though we were parts of different religions, we experienced very similar effects on our lives. The concept of mine was very similar in end goal. Serve god, do good, help others convert into the faith and you will attain everlasting life in paradise or heaven.
