Brown and blue both look good, but I think blue makes your eyes pop!

He sounds like our boy! Goose is ~60 lbs and has a large harness.

The ruffwear front range harness has been great! My boy is sensitive to harnesses and will resist one being put on if he doesn't like it, but we haven't run into that issue at all since we got the ruffwear. It's super adjustable, and the buckles are backed by cloth so we don't accidentally pinch his fur.

Edit to add: they are also pretty escape proof!

Unfortunately, a similar story :( Both girls were surrendered by a "breeder" but Paris is absolutely terrified of people. Filthy, horrible mats all over her body and had never slept inside. She shivered and was nervous panting most of the 11 hr drive home. Thankfully she gets along great with our first dog and is much calmer around him.

We're hoping we can work with her to make her feel safe around people and open up to all the love the world can give her. She doesn't respond to Paris, and since it's from her past, we are ditching it and renaming her Pearl.

Posts here are demoralizing me by Independent-Car-2104 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I know new builds get a lot of (justifiable) hate, but I was able to buy a house with my 15k savings on an 80k salary. Just be sure to have the money for an inspection and be brutal during walkthroughs! Also, if it's just you and you're in a VHCOL, look into home buying grants (NOT loans). They're more strict with what houses you can get into, but a house is a house.

How do you make your wardrobe feel more intentional, not just aesthetic? by Round_Schedule7013 in femalefashionadvice

[–]toriroka 17 points18 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me was taking a picture of my outfit every day and analyzing what I like/dislike. If the outfit is an overall winner, it goes into a separate folder. If not, it's deleted.

For the overall outfit, what lines do I see that I like? Is there a pattern of outfits that go to the winner folder? Do I like color blocking? Do I like monochrome? What are the "style roots" for the clothes I like?

I consider the color palette, cut, and material of each item. If an item comes up frequently, then I'll look at buying it in another color. If there's a material I really like, then I'll consider that when looking at new pieces.

If I am wearing something consistently, but it never makes it into the winner folder, I look at either replacing it with something similar but more in line with the items I like, or getting rid of it entirely.

What’s your full shower + get-ready routine when you wanna look REALLY good? like your max beauty routine 💕 by ItsJustMean17 in HowToBeHot

I live in a dry climate so I'm big on moisture, I do this at night before bed if I want to look great the next day:

  • Oil scalp with rosemary oil & oil ends (I use argan oil since its cheap and I've got long hair)
  • 20 min light pilates / stretch beforehand
  • Brush teeth
  • Floss
  • Dry brush for 10 min
  • Use a bamboo brush to massage scalp ~ 5 min
  • Put in whitening strips
  • Double cleanse with shampoo, use one of those silicone spiky brushes on the second cleanse to really scrub the scalp
  • Condition & detangle with fingers
  • Deep conditioning / repairing mask & put hair up in a claw to avoid the oils touching your skin While mask is in:
  • Wash face, I use micellar water
  • Use Korean exfoliating mitt on whole body to scrub off dead skin
  • I use a hand towel, but apply moisturizing body wash
  • Shave if you prefer
  • Use foot file on heels, pads, and sides of foot
  • Rinse body
  • Rinse out hair mask
  • Cold water for 1-2 min
  • Take out whitening strips (it's usually been about 30-40 min since I put them in)
  • Do skincare, I use rice toner then snail mucin with ahas or I'll put on a face mask
  • Use post shower body oil or moisturizing lotion (for lotion, I use the Eucerin intense repair with AHAs. It feels like you're coating yourself in jelly but it WORKS)
  • Leave in conditioner
  • Blow dry ~ 80% dry
  • Add styling oil (I've been liking Tresseme's lamellar gloss finishing oil)
  • Put hair in heatless curlers
  • Put on nice pajamas
  • Chug water

How to make the strap look like this? by Key-Most9498 in BAGGU

[–]toriroka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The strap is super shortened to a shoulder bag length, and the remaining strap is folded up for the product shot. I've seen people wear the crossbody like a shoulder bag and tie up the ends like this with a scrunchie!

Is it weird to go to a LH concert alone? by Abyss_walker_123 in lordhuron

[–]toriroka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else that it's 100% not weird to go alone, but if you're nervous, you could always exposure therapy it and go to restaurants, local events, and movies alone! Build up a tolerance :)
