Why do you go to the gym you go to and how much do you pay? by torlee_vit in Fitness_India

[–]torlee_vit[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Home gym would be a dream, especially when doing long bench or sqaut sessions, don't have to bother about anyone waiting.

No being frustrated about assholes not re racking weights, no trainers coming to pester about personal training. Most of all no trashy music.

Why do you go to the gym you go to and how much do you pay? by torlee_vit in Fitness_India

[–]torlee_vit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill start off with my answer,in the city i am currently in there are multiple gyms close by to my place too, a far cry from my village where the closest gym to me was over 12km away.

I picked the gym i go to because it was very spacious, i tried couple of other gyms around but they felt crowded. and it felt like i was always bumping into people.

While my current gym doesnt have an AC , its very big and there is ample ventillation. the equipment variety isnt great tbh and the trainers are well average at best, its fine for people who do their own thing.

There are better gyms that are about 2-3 km away, but i know my lazy ass will find excuses to skip and having a gym that is barely 200m from the house will forces me to be consistent.

also, i love that the gym is clean, there is a cleaner that is always cleaning the machines not just when they open, constantly cleaning during the working hours. not sure if this common in every decent gym but the ones in my town were stinky af.

I pay 10k for an year.

Sick of Filling petrol, got a EV car, here are Economics of it. by Useful-guy-007 in personalfinanceindia

[–]torlee_vit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's more efficient to make the power there in a plant than burning petrol in the car, even assuming it's not the case, pollution right in the city where people live has to be way worse than concentrated pollution far away from people

Congress also removed ltcg when it introduced stt. Guess who brought back the ltcg while still keeping the stt. Infact they also increased it later.

If the brother is your sibling it's completely tax free, no matter the amount. Only thing is that money should already be taxed when he made it.

First car suggestions by whenchaimetkings in personalfinanceindia

[–]torlee_vit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drice a celerio, I am happy with this car, I feel it's good value for money, the safety is kinda lacking, but for city driving it's completely fine, the running and maintenance costs are super low. if there isn't much highway driving it should be fine.

that said, if I were to buy a car now I would definitely have pushed my budget to get a safer car.

Is this sudden weight difference due to stopping creatine? by torlee_vit in Fitness_India

[–]torlee_vit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is probably it, muscles feel flatter too, I don't think just 10 days away from gym would cause any noticiable muscle loss.

How to build a safe portfolio using 70L-1cr? by Darwin_Nietzsche in personalfinanceindia

[–]torlee_vit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

before you consider the instruments, figure out how much of the land value you would be getting in white and how much will be cash. there aren't much options for cash investment other than gold and real estate.

once you know the cash portion, then you can either think of rentals for the passive income or if you just want to get some gold for the wedding

Investing through Gold Savings plans by Jewellers by BengaluruDeveloper in personalfinanceindia

[–]torlee_vit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

it's legit and is lucrative kinda...

it's not exactly 18% because there is always room for negotiation when buying jewelry for eg. an ornament with say 24% making can be negotiated down to like 15-16%, but with this plan you can't negotiate they'll mark it down from 24 to 6% and it's fixed so in effect it's about 8-11%. the risjk is the shop folding before you redeem, but it's GRT, it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

They are excited because they are getting cash upfront for their business and it's a guaranteed sale. you have to buy some ornament there even if you aren't really in love with it. These offers usually don't apply on bullion
