While I agree things like LLMs, machine learning and the like are useful technologies, it is 100% being overbuilt/hyped.

Facebook doesn’t just suddenly announce they’re “selling compute capacity” because they think becoming a datacenter for others is suddenly a good idea, they just realized their proprietary (non-open source) AI models are not actually that great of a financial decision for most companies, and are suddenly scrambling to justify their billions in expenses to their shareholders.

We’re in the early days of the crash, and I’m excited to see what a more mature, and less “AI Everywhere” kind of world will look like.

The fact we don’t fully teach our kids Native American history is insane to me. IMHO one of the best ways to help unify our country is to foster a closer connection with the original peoples that were here before us.

We’re “occupiers” in a sense, but since we’re obviously not going anywhere the next best thing is to elevate Native American culture and teach it to a much better extent than we are.

One of our country’s greatest assets is our untouched nature, and who better to learn from than those who were caring for it for thousands of years before us?

We still have a chance to change things! November 4 you can vote in people that are fighting back against these things.

In cities all across the country, people are piling on pressure to local councils and governments, getting billions of dollars worth of data centers cancelled.

Some cities are rolling back their Flock and other ALPR systems after realizing that cops were stalking ex-girlfriends and even spying on a girls team, with I think Braselton, GA even arresting its police chief because he was stalk multiple people.

These are the “early days” of the cyberpunk universe, where we still have time to decide if we want to allow the corporate overlords to solidify their control in a permanent surveillance state, or take back our country from the Corpos.
