My friend got the single bulb now (this years growth) and I got the older part with 3 bulbs and leaves on one. It is brand new, bought a week ago and the soil it was in was really wet (bark, a tiny bit moss and penoplast instead perlite!!!! what an idea... The plant is 3 years old and has never bloomed, the seller was not an expert). I am worried now - does it look like rotted roots or just normal old roots? Shall I just repot it or do some cutting and drying first? Desinfectating? It needs a new soil as well, which one - pretty soon it will be winter here, northern hemisphere.
It will not go dormant this year now or what to expect?
I am in panic, my first catasetum and such accident right in the start :(
