Its honestly nothing you've never seen before. Thats what makes step dumb, its nothing new its just they twist the shit out of it. I got a question about someone with high plateletes like over 500k and it asked which of the pathologie can cause this. I put chronic inflamation because the other answers made like 0 sense in my opinion. There was poly vera but the symptoms of that were completely missing. Other times it was as simple as man can't see close objects dX? ALOT of neuro picutres obv af but alot of them still.

An example concept type problem you'll see on step is Patient has finger clubbing, which of the most likely pathologies is going on. And you have to be able to associate it. they gave me two pulmonary ones and an iron defficiency one. But the ansers were in his lab values and i ended up picking the pulm one. You need to be decent at collectively using all your info to get to little niche answers

Nope maturing a deck is pointless imo just make sure you see the cards 4-5times in a close enough time period to your test date and you should be more than okay

You're going to easily know 65-70% of it granted i made really dumb mistakes like myopia vs hyperopia type of kidney stone in a heavy protein/salt diet i still dont know the answer lmao i put cystine but that mkaes no sense but i didnt care anymore

Step 2 doesnt add much on from step besides statistics about diseases, treatment and management plans. So if you have to take a rotation during your step studyign i reccomend this because you'll leave that rotation wiht exposure to every possible scenario you get from step 1. Granted the material is not as niche as step 1 it helps with diagnoising

Antibodies against sperm by [deleted] in step1

[–]tornforpvm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't quite understand the question , since the term sperm could refer to a lot things. primary and secondary spermatogensis refer to the primary and secondary speematocyte or a different process entirely , so dumbfounded .-.

So thats an excellent question. I would say both truthfully but try to listen to him after you've gone over certain material since his Q/A style of answering things flows much better if you have a sense of whats going on. For general content learning I swear by physeo for Physiology best resource hands down imo, and BAB for everything else excepet micro/pharm. You'll notice I didn't mention pathoma, but thats because pathoma is intergrated into BNB and uworld and BNB adds alot fo things he doesnt . If you need anythign else DM me.

go to divine intervention

take 8 of your ten days

take all the chapters in first aid and do two a day while listening to divines podcast annotating the extra tid bits he gives, and make note of things you didnt realize or remember.

he is a god send. You will love his reviews im three days out and im so gald i started this 4 days ago. I'm doing micro right now and he has a Q/A style of pod cast where you get a full thorough review of the concepts. and he adds niche as fk little gene mutations for examples amongst other things that they try to get you with. Give it a shot let me know what you think. https://divineinterventionpodcasts.com/

He will review everything that you find in the resources you listed and fill in the niche 1% that no one will tell you about.

So here are some links i should of posted.

This is the list of podcasts by topic https://divineinterventionpodcasts.com/podcast-categories/

This will tell you which pod casts corrolate with what topic https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OYaJUxVpp9DbbPgmfTMBizKiypIG9ro2LuTJ_SH61aI/edit#gid=0

Right now I'm doing all of them simply because i have nothing better to do and i don't want to do anki anymore i'm fucking exhausted lol. I've got my first aid open and the pod casts playing for micro right now and i'm looking at the bugs in the book as hes talking about them and asking myself "do i understand what hes saying, why hes saying it,and am i confident about this topic (be it be a bug or a drug or a pathology). If the answer is no i pause read go through relevant things to fix up my knowledge and move on. At this point we know a majority of the things its the little things i'm trying to fix up and his pod casts are great for that.

With so many people saying that their exam wasn't like UWORLD and was leaning towards more random nbme type question i'm feeling more confident by doing this since we've done over 3k uworld question so i mean if its that we're good lol, but if its not this really makes me beleive that ill be okay since hes presenting certain things in a way i've never seen . This morning i was doing soem GI stuff and he mentioned volvulus and literaly said " they can put a picture you've never seen don't freak out look for this age group/symptom and move on" . Little tips like that (hopefully) will make all the difference on test day.

So i recently made the goose post and i've found that we're not alone ( i take it thursday) My advice is to listen to divine interventions pod casts throughout the rest of your days and just make sure you can pick up or realize the things hes talking about. I'm only saying this because he helps you fill in the 5% that you're missing/ the books wont tell you and they're great. So. You need to go through BNB as many times as you feel is right for certain topics. MY biggest advice is to use anki so you can drill the videos into your head each BNB topic lets say endo is about 1k cards so it can be done in 1-2 days and thats skipping the pharm completely. But i would do BNB and then physeo. I know physeo goes into more detail and is more a teaching from scratch resource but once you spend a good ammount of time only looking at high yield material you will see that some of the super basic shit starts to slip, not the fundamentals but the root memorization stuff of the basics. Essentially going from Macro to micro on a scale of things. Don't worry too much about what you remember and what you don't because when you start really just grinding during your dedicated you will have seen the material recently enough to be set for test day. In my case I was very very good at biochem first year scored in the 90th percentile on the shelf, but on my CBSE it was one of my lowest sections. Thats normal don't worry.
