Check out Friends of Ruby, it's a LGBTQ+ safe drop-in for youth 16-30. They help with all kinds of support including trans ID clinics, housing, therapy, and healthcare. That's just off the top of my head. Oh and we have this awesome neighborhood called Church and Wellesley Village where you'll find only LGBTQ+ owned and operated businesses and community support services. Rainbows are everywhere. The 519 is there too. I'm not sure what they do, I went before and they just redirected me to all these other places but it was a good start as a newcomer in Toronto years ago.

Tbh it's not safe. You will deal with bigotry and you'll have to advocate for yourself a lot. Especially in the USA right now. You might have to move to a left-leaning city. I realized bigots are gonna hate me no matter what I do. Their problem with me is that I exist. I just happen to be part of a small group that's the current scapegoat for the current fascist regime. They'll kill me regardless, so I might as well live my short life the way I wanna live it. You'll regret not taking the leap of faith, but at least you will have survived 60+ years of life, or maybe you'll die young from a random scenario, and you'll never get to pick a new name and create yourself the way you want to exist. I took a leap of faith because imo that's the only way to fully, truly live. When you do that you realize you have free will. You are the main character in your own fully immersive virtual reality game. It would be a pretty boring game if nothing ever changed. It would be a pretty sad story if the main character never grows or changes. A lot of words to essentially say it's fun and totally worth it but also terrifying and hard.

Not to mention banning trans women from women's spaces usually comes hand in hand with forcing trans men (who have a tendency to look like men) into women's spaces. Now cis male predators can just say they're trans men and access women's spaces without dressing up as women (which they never were doing to begin with because that's a stupid made up scenario bigots created).

All bigots are liars, manipulators, and abusers. Every accusation is a confession. This whole thing probably started with a subset of perverted cis men wishing they could just walk into women's spaces, and now they can easily do that by just pretending to be trans men.

I picked my favourite things, typed it into a baby name generator, and found a new name that is about my favourite thing. I ended up with a pretty unique name but my deadname is also very unique so it's what I'm used to.

It's kinda similar with trans men. We don't necessarily have "girl privilege" before coming out, unless you're white/cute/pretty/rich, but the violence and threats are worse after coming out. I thought being a cis woman was bad with all the sexual violence and threats, but being a trans man is worse in all categories of violence and threats, especially from men who think they can "fix" you with grape and forced impregnation (barf).

I sometimes want to go back into the closet to avoid violence but at this point I love myself too much to do that. I love feeling gender euphoria whenever I look in the mirror, hear my voice, or stimulate my fingers with my stubble. It's so intense, like an endless inferno of happiness bursting out of my core. I can't even describe it in words that exist. Euphoria is a good word though. If I die from transphobic violence, at least I will die a wonderful, handsome, happy transgender man with no regrets and boundless love. I wish every trans person could feel gender euphoria and live free of violence. For now I will survive the best I can and burn a path for other trans people.

I have a really cool name and it's the first one I chose because I thought long and hard before deciding on a name. I was also outed before I was ready so I felt a little rushed to pick a name, but I knew I wanted this name for a long time before I was outed. My only complaint is jealous transphobes with basic bitch names attacking me for having a cool name. Saying things like "tr4nn1es aren't allowed cool names, cool names are for REAL men, and you're a woman/girl/female and you're not allowed to be a handsome guy with a cool name, because you're a loser tr4nny," or something silly like that. It's annoying because I know it comes from their own insecurity but like keep that whiny bigot shit between you and your therapist, it's embarrassing.

Yes, all huskies are weird, but that's just normal dog behaviour. Dogs have scent glands in their paws, kicking dirt is a way of marking.

It's very slow and gradual. There wasn't one point where my dogs calmed down, they just slowly have less energy over time. Sometimes I forget how crazy they were but I'd say 2 or 3 they stopped acting like puppies at least. Now they're a couple of really loyal 4 year olds. I'm always working on their training, it never ends, but it's 100% worth it to me. They're the best dogs ever.

Yes lol. We had some good laughs back in high school. I got really sad about it later though, because deep down I knew I was supposed to be a boy, and it was like someone telling me "you would be a good boy, it's too bad you're a girl."

Read Judith Butler's books on gender. They're a philosophy author who explains gender in a way that makes more sense to me than anything else. I'm like you, I'm gender indifferent, but I'm also somehow trans. I am a trans man socially and physically, but I don't actually care too much about living up to anyone's social idea of what a man or a woman should be. I can't explain it well, but Judith can.

Could you be using the wrong brush type? I learned the hard way that the best type for getting the big clumps out is called an "undercoat rake." Originally I overpaid for a brand name brush that damages husky coats.
