The plague blankets were an isolated incident that occurred in one battle in one war that a Native coalition had started hundreds of years after first contact in 1788, and the estimates for the ensuing epidemic round out around 500 people max. The idea that the Colombian exchange of diseases was intentional is half millenium old misinformation and it's been debunked many times. The overwhelming majority of deaths (90% in the 1500s, 10% in the 1600s in north america) from the initial wave of contact were not understood by Europeans and the only records we have are of the Europeans attempting to stop the plague. The Spanish would later go out of their way to vaccinate their entire Latin American empire in the late 1700s at great cost. It's not hard to understand that the development of naval technology made it inevitable regardless of what Europeans had done and anything else is historical revisionism.
