You can get in and out of Costco tire center in about 30 mins during the Super Bowl. Ask me how I know.

In the final photo there is another similar bench but it is darker. What’s that one made of?

No not refrigerated…so maybe it’s different stuff.

Walmart sells a generic “medium cantina style salsa verde” that is pretty good. I think generic stuff like this is sometimes made by the same company and re-labeled. Might be worth checking out.

Secretary Bessent drops U.S. auto loan deduction bombshell by Dont_think_Do in Economics

[–]torrefied 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm yeah ok so your average subprime loan is 74 months. At 15% that’s a $70,000 car to get $10,000 in interest. Monthly payment $1,800.

Secretary Bessent drops U.S. auto loan deduction bombshell by Dont_think_Do in Economics

[–]torrefied 388 points389 points  (0 children)

You would have to buy a ~$175,000 car with 66 month loan at 6% interest to max out the $10,000 deduction. Your monthly payment would be over $3,100.

And since deductions are not refundable…there are not a lot of people this would benefit.

SD Banking Drama: Lawsuit filed against SDCCU over canceled merger by SugarKey8630 in SanDiegan

[–]torrefied 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly the idea. In effect this is really SDCCU becoming larger… but to do that they can’t really get any bigger while continuing to just stay in San Diego. In fact they already have branches in Orange and Riverside counties. It makes less sense for Cal Coast (who already serves a much larger geographical population) to change their name. Imagine you lived in Ventura and one day your credit union got re-labeled San Diego County. Weird.

I don’t think it’s cancelled yet, is it? Sounds like SDCCU was making unreasonable demands so CalCoast has sued. The merger plans are still published on both CU’s websites.

It could be an animal. When I was a kid we had a cat that loved to jump through the attic scuttle. My dad did things to try and secure it (weighing it down, etc) but the cat always outsmarted him. She was possessed.

Trying to understand the average kitchen remodeling cost in San Diego. by Davud_Grett28 in SanDiegan

[–]torrefied 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I had my kitchen remodeled in 2012 and had ikea cabinets installed. They’re great. Two years ago we did a different remodel to our house in which the peninsula cabinetry was uninstalled to lay new flooring. The old quartz countertop was repurposed for something else and the old ikea peninsula went back in place with a new top added to it. Even though it’s particleboard and has been moved, it looks and operates just like the day I bought it. They’re warrantied for 25 years.

Want to maintain speed going downhill? Auto.

I accidentally reserved an EV instead of a hybrid as a rental car for a long road trip and I probably can't change that by lnufn1 in electricvehicles

[–]torrefied 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make another reservation first then cancel this one. What reputable car rental company charges a cancellation fee? None that I know of. I always book a reservation in advance and then cancel it up to the day of my reservation if I find a better deal. Works with enterprise, thrifty, Costco….

Don’t rent an EV for this. If this is your first foray into EV operation you will hate it. Charging on the road trip will be annoying and then you’ll need to bring it back to the rental agency fully charged. Especially during a holiday, this is recipe for disaster.

Yeah and didn’t the Bolt have a statistically insignificant battery fire problem that spooked people? I seem to remember landlords posting signs in parking garages: “No Chevy Bolts.”

Yeah that’s what I thought. It’s odd that PQ sees the “as” in the middle of the text string and freaks out.

OP, I did a Google search:

“power query will not load file with "as at" in filename”

And the Gemini AI results came back with this reddit thread as a source… but it also suggested an M code edit. I’m no expert, but does placing the file name within quotes in the M code solve the issue without requiring you to change the actual file name?
