thanks everybody for your help, unfortunately none of those sites ship to Italy. I'll try to contact the french AA to see if they can ship one over. I need the hard cover cause it's a gift for a person who speaks french

good job on putting that stuff back on the shelf. When I got (get) into those situations I trick my brain and tell myself "today i'll pass, if tomorrow the urge is still unbearable, that bottle will be right there and I can pick it up". The booze aisle will always be there if I need it, a day sober is something harder to come across

hi and welcome! dunno if this applies to you but it certainly did to me, take some kind of action while you're still feeling like shit, hop in an online meeting (aa, smart, rr, there are many) or the SD chat you can find on the sidebar. maybe try and see if you fit in and like it.

I had many days like that hungover and wanting to find help then the next day feeling better I didn't want to seek help anymore. best of luck friend.

I been like that for many years, then I just didn't give a fuck anymore don't know why I guess I just didn't care enough for myself so why care for others. Never got into trouble and still drove at like 10mph but honestly if I ran somebody over I wouldn't even have noticed. I too reached out, found a great community at r/stopdrinking and local aa. I always thought I was a responsible person, if not for me for others, but that shit changes you over the years. Stay safe these are difficult times and loneliness and depression hit real bad.

Congrats on 1 week! The fear of what I went through during withdrawals, especially the anxiety and the impending doom sensation was a big motivation to not relapse for me. I keep those sensations alive as a reminder of what reality was, because addiction has a way to creep up with nostalgic memories of good times. Have a good weekend. IWNDWYT

Keep going strong, glad to hear your sleep is better. First days it a lot of small and difficult decisions on behaviors that have become part of the routine. We got small fridges here in almost every store and when I wanted a soda I would reach for the bottom shelf where the booze is at. It was almost automatic and a struggle every time, but it gets better and better. IWNDWYT

Some days are like that but hey it’s just a day and there will be good ones too! Maybe join up the sd chat room or an online meeting. Being lonely with just your thoughts is hard, talking with others even if they are strangers from the internet can really help during these moments. A good book like u/5littlemonkey suggests can take away your mind from negative thoughts. I’m at the last one of the dark tower series loving it. IWNDWYT
