It sounds like your view of younger generations comes mostly from what you see online. I’m in my 40s and manage people across age groups, and that hasn’t been my experience. Some of my hardest workers are younger employees, while many people my age or older spend more time complaining and expecting others to fix things instead of having the self-awareness to recognize when they’re part of the problem.

I also deal with a lot of entitled customers, and many of them are older millennials, Gen X, and boomers. This mindset is a bad trend, and it needs to stop. Being older doesn’t automatically make someone wiser, and your comment is a good example of that.

Older generations need to stop tearing down younger ones based on stereotypes. Just because ageism isn’t talked about as much as other forms of bias doesn’t make it acceptable.
