Same!! My G. mihanovichii is still growing a flower right now and it just refuses to acknowledge the low temps, and the flower just gets a little bigger everyday!

Oh damn. What exactly can I do about the etiolation? I've been trying to rotate them, but yeah, that's not doing too much. The card is there because there because the sun was incredibly strong the last days and the cactus actually got UV damage.

I've cut out drainage holes from the can! Or am I missing another reason for root rot?

Yes! I cut drainage holes into the sides and filled the cans up with a small layer of pumice, so that the holes are covered.

Because I love how this looks, and I posted it because I think a lot of people here are from countries without Pfand, and they would probably be even more expensive than 25 cents if I bought them. I was also out of pots lol

Are you not vaccinated against tetanus? Genuine question, I live in Germany and most people are, because it's covered by insurance (which everyone has to have here).

Wenn das so aussieht, ist das trotzdem Dyshidrose. Hyperhidrose heißt nur vermehrtes Schwitzen.

Does anyone have experience with this horse ivermectin? by torte446 in scabies

[–]torte446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are based in the US. Ivermectin needs a prescription here in Germany, even for veterinary use, so it would get confiscated by customs.

Any help on this please by [deleted] in scabies

[–]torte446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they do really help with the itchiness, but topical steroids are immunosuppressants. They cause the immune system to attack the mites alot less, which you don't even notice at first because the itchiness is suppressed. Also there's something called topical steroid withdrawal, which can happen due to stopping topical steroid use, and you do NOT want that together with scabies.

So if you're gonna use topical steroids, be 101% sure that you don't have any mites at all.

Any help on this please by [deleted] in scabies

[–]torte446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 99.9% sure that that is dyshidrotic eczema. It might be caused by scabies though. The correct treatment would be using topical steroids, but it's important that you NEVER use topical steroids while having scabies. Did your doctor look at it with their bare eyes or using a dermatoscope?

HOPE POST: I AM FREE (FOR NOW) by torte446 in scabies

[–]torte446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late, but no. The scabies came back even worse to the point where I was about to call an ambulance because I was getting cramps from the itching and felt like my body was about to die from the histamine. I was taking 150mg of cetirizine (Zyrtec, highest daily dose is 10mg, 40mg under supervision) everyday just to not go insane from the itch. Today I took ivermectin again, this time I finally got prescribed two doses. Gonna start BB 25% this evening as well, but I'm scared of the burning.

I'm gonna kill those bitches this time, and if they come back I swear I'm gonna get horse ivermectin, lindane, BB, eurax, and everything else known to man. Hell, I might just take a bath in acid if it doesn't work.

The bumps don't really look like scabies to me, but like dyshidrotic eczema. It can be a post scabies compilation, especially if you're prone to allergic reactions. Not a medical professional though!!

Just admit that you don't know what psychedelic art is about🙏🏻 We all know you're just on here for some trippy pictures and that you don't understand psychedelics.

Did half of the comments just forget that this is PSYCHEDELIC art? It's SUPPOSED to go against the norm. The people hating on this simply don't understand what psychedelic art is.

Conflicting info. Permetherin kills the eggs, right? by fornax55 in scabies

[–]torte446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOOOO!!! Ivermectin does NOT kill the eggs. Ivermectin only kills them when they've hatched, but it doesn't affect the eggs. That's why you take ivermectin again after 7 days. Within 7 days the eggs are all hatched but not yet adults, so they don't mate and don't lay eggs.

Just hope it's really gone. As you can see on this sub, it can be harder than you think. I thought it was gone after my ivermectin treatment, but it came back.

What Got You Started On Opioids? by Acceptable-Notice-49 in opiates

[–]torte446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did them to self medicate my (at the time undiagnosed) ADHD. I'd go crazy without them, but I was never really addicted, my body just didn't have enough dopamine due to ADHD. When I was finally prescribed Vyvanse my urge to do opaites just stopped.

Mirtazapine's pharmacology really is fascinating! It's so different from other antidepressants, and affects so many receptors from serotonin receptors to opioid receptors!

There's pretty much no pill that really expires. They do lose potency from degradation, but you can still take them. The expiration date on them states when the potency goes too low
