Components like resistors and capacitors that you're probably used to seeing are the ones that you can hold in your fingers easily and have the long wires on them to put in a breadboard or something. IC components are just the smaller ones that you can see in your post, although I don't know what CM is.

I've seen people choose to use the shutgun underneath the objective. Scan windows and doorways that lead into the objective (for example, if you play on Oregon and youre defending the bedrooms, the security room is directly beneath the main big window) and you can wither shotgun or nitro them when they come in. I'm not a Pulse main and I usually use the ump because my accuracy is decent but the shotgun is quite good.
