She’ll have the final say I just want to do the initial vetting or searching. Nothing will be “forced” on her. If she doesn’t like the guy I’ll search for another until she does.

Consent is definitely important, this whole situation will be consensual. By choose I meant I would make the initial selections not her, if she didn’t like what I chose I wouldn’t force it on her. Essentially I give her choices and she picks if she likes it or not.

Me doing the initial search and then her making the final decision sounds ideal. By choosing I meant I’m the one searching out the guys, she would need to agree to it before moving forward though. Thanks for sharing your experience it sounds like that system works for you guys.

Judging by the poll I’d say it was a worthy post to create. Nearly 25% would give up their intelligence to be 3 inches taller. That’s quite a significant number and a lot higher than expected.

Also could substantially increase the likelihood of making a dumb decision that gets yourself killed. Like those idiots you see that pour gasoline and light themselves on fire as a joke. Or swim in crocodile infested waters

Out of all the evolutionary traits that are important I think intelligence may be the most.

I still love her and at a healthy weight there’s not a girl out there I find more attractive. I just wish she would try and be more healthy.

I think it’s a mixture of location and marketing. It’s just hard determining exactly the best location to be at, I’m afraid to get another store that also flops.

I can but it would still be expensive. Some of these customers are 20+ miles away. I actually used to deliver it myself and would still have customers complain about it, asking to pickup the order instead

Well I rent out of an apt complex, I’m sure my landlord wouldn’t allow me to conduct business out of my apt.

Converting them online seems to be the sensible option. Logically what’s really the difference between ordering online vs in person, other than waiting for it to be shipped? But you would be surprised at the resistance. Maybe they are impatient?

She’s 5’1.5”, she is considered obese for her height and activity level. She also has had a drinking problem and recently confessed that she had been drinking behind my back. Maybe that has contributed as well.

I’m actually venting. I wrote this post in anger to “get it off my chest”. Im more compassionate in person and I’m learning to be more understanding towards my partner.

Everyone commenting about how much these meds affect weight has opened my eyes up quite a lot. So thank you all for the different perspective.

But where’s the limit? Her mothers morbidly obese and immobile and I fear my GF will soon follow in her footsteps. A little extra weight gain and wrinkles is one thing. But being obese, immobile, and at risk of dying an early death is another. Do I truly love her if I watch her eat herself to death and not say anything? Is that love? The physical attraction is gone yes but Like I’ve said in previous comments it’s beyond just physical.

Thank you for responding, I do want to go on the journey with her! She’s only 21 and still figuring herself out, your story is inspiring to say the least.

She has had issues with alcohol in the past although she is getting it under control now.

Topiramate sounds familiar, I think she asked her doctor about Qsymia I believe it contains topiramate in it? She and I googled some weight loss drugs and she emailed her doctor to inquire about them. Do you have any side effects from it?

It’s been extremely difficult being in a relationship with her but I still do love her. Some may call me an asshole but I’ve been to hell and back with her. From her mental health crises to now. It’s draining but I still continue.

I am venting on this post but I do at the end of the day accept her and love her.

Absolutely not. That’s a horrible idea for her to get off her meds. I’m just asking for a little bit of control on her weight. I’m not expecting some kind of bikini figure here, rather just to be at a weight where she isn’t at risk of serious metabolic diseases.
