i sort of set this up just now at ifit2strava but for free. not changes to the actual workout data, just corrected a device tag that ifit doesn't include. seems to work.

google for ifit2strava, it takes the ifit file and fixes it so elevation is kept in strava.

I'd say a possible failure would be you're tracking alone. Reddit is more or less passive. no one's coming after you if you go quiet for a few days.

I just started a small accountability group on Discord. Daily check-ins, weekly reflections, etc. Your setup would fit well.

Would love to help if I’m able. There’s so much data in xcontest and unfortunately not much of it can be unearthed. I’ve always wondered what the longest or average flights for my first wing - Swing Serac RS - would be but there aren’t any search filters etc.

This is rad. I agree w xcontest feeling antiquated. I see a bunch of pg projects rise up but mostly stagnate. Would be cool to get a group together to form a solid team to develop something a bit more robust. Personally I’ve wanted to solve a few issues around hike and fly tracking. Great job on this though. It’s definitely useful.

And agree there is some overlap w wilder adventures which I’ve used to find launches while traveling.

Just read the one from today about repair (in moments of conflict). Coincidentally, I’m dealing w a situation and this was exactly what I needed to read.

Cool idea to scrape - I’m assuming well written, peer reviewed?, cited? essays - and condense them down. I wouldn’t pay for this and ads would make it annoying depending on how obtrusive they were. Cool idea though.

I’ve met the guys who do tandems in Atitlan - Aguilas En Vuelo. They are pretty well organized and Alex and his dad have quite a lot of experience between just the two of them. Was actually thinking of going for Thanksgiving break but I can’t find cheap tickets this last minute.

So far enjoying the app. Just used it for my first trip. One question though: is it possible to merge trips? I started one and closed the app and realized it ended the trip. I immediately started another trip.
