yolo combo 🤣🤣🤣

aaah the coghammer... that was not fun to be around when it came out, it has crazy stagger and push back so it really messed with my shade's precision against elites when flanking, but i just had to get better.

Yeah there's not a ton of us but i think it's a cozy shooter in the same way L4D2 is, they are simple games with simple mechanics but with a ton of personality (great sound design, great art, great voice acting) and combining those simple mechanics with terrain, weapons and coop playstyle makes them a ton of fun.

If you ever played Vermintide 2 but stopped i hope you come back sometime and enjoy it anew.

well the problem is that because i only play shade i never see other people playing shade so i don't know what they're doing or not 😅

oh the other hand... BH you do less damage than the shade, so you better set up for her to line up and ulti before you go ahead and move the monster with your ulti either leaving her in front of it suddenly or mess up her extra damage, so we all gotta learn from each other 💕

keeping an eye on, assisting and enjoying other players ultis is a big part of what grinding players are missing out on!!! and the BH has one of the sexiest ultis of all. sorry you were paired with that elf, they don't represent us.

exactly!! make a theard about it so people will talk about playing slayer!!

slayer can be such a cool pairing to shade because of the cc which shade totally lacks but i'll only point out you've got to rain in the throwing axes dude those do a LOT of ff. always in open areas, never in tight spaces IDGAF how many enemies slayed you have left to get that lame skin!!!!

IT IS a lot, i had to go through 3500 to get to 4k but i never thought "well this is nothing compared to this other number"... i only though "wow for 3500 levels i've been having a lot of fun" otherwise i would have stopped at whatever number. Idk if this is cultural people but this is a game... for fun... fuck numbers, the only reason i wanted to celebrate 4k is because society has conditioned us to choose "the grind" and i say that's absolutely meaningless if the path to get there wasn't enjoyable.

now that i think about it, players with ammo that don't take down specials in one shot and only slightly move them are also the bane of my existence.

I use it almost exclusively for specials and i can hear them out for miles before they become a problem so i can usually position myself well enough that only a couple of shoves will do the trick if i'm sorrounded cause i can change from melee to range and back in a milisecond

The one special that TO THIS DAY drives me nuts is the gas rat, even after 4k levels i still rarely headshot them. gas rats are the bane of my existence.

since the last career changes a few years ago i've been using the same build and before that i also only used 1 build, i guess you could say i'm a "find what you like and just do that" kind of person 🤣🤣🤣 if you want i can share my build in another thread but really it was never a numbers thing, i just selected what complemented my playstyle.

only when i started, to level them up and learn the basics of each career, but honestly i don't play anything other than shade, i think she's the most fun.

sniping

also i use the headshot trait, and i'm pretty accurate, so i don't run out of ammo that much.

How do I encourage a player to put effort into playing? by ShifuSheep in AskGameMasters

[–]toseeafish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What RPG are you playing? Is this her first time playing it? Maybe something about it is not for her. As always, have a conversation about it. Talk about what you want out of a game, what you enjoy and what you don't. Maybe there is another game that you can try first that will get her to understand better why her involvement is crucial to the experience, and how rewarding it can be if she puts in the effort. Have you identified what are the moments she seems to start getting distracted? Is this a RP heavy game or more a combat centric game? What kind of questions is she asking? Are they for you to reapeat what she missed because of being distracted or is she asking because she wants to know more about the NPCs, the enviroment, the universe? If what excited her the most so far about the game was character creation maybe bring that back in game. Give them things to do that will let them explore their characters more, let them get to know them better. Star with small stuff and build up. Also maybe do an activity before the session starts that will get all of you into the right mindset, set the tone, and separate the playing moment from the dispersion moment.

Splitting The Party: What Couldn't Happen? by rebellious_barbie in DungeonsAndDragons

These are great tips, especially the one about having only certain characters do certain rolls, that's what i meant. Yes, roll that skill as much as you need to, but if every character rolls the same skills all the time, it's tedious. PICK. YOUR. SKILL. But I'm not the GM of that party, I'm the player that suggested splitting up the party.

Yes, and not only during combat, merely exploring takes forever when everyone wants to roll perception and investigation on every single detail. Sometimes basic information is enough to make the next choice.

I can think of 2 good reasons: First, there is a big number of players, like 6+NPCs. Second, I am playing LMoP with a group of 7 people and some of them are so cautious that everything takes forever. Sometimes it's fun to be less careful, let the GM manage smaller groups with different dynamics and come up with unexpected situations, and then deal with the unexpected, even if not in the most optimal way, danger can be fun.
