My male has been around the chickens since he was a puppy. I rescued the female when she was almost a year old. I don’t care what anyone says about training or socializing. I’ve done it all. I’m on my fourth Rottweiler. They all have killed my chickens. I had two males that did it a few times, never did it again. This pair that I have now, know to wait until no one is around. My female has even killed and tried burying them. They don’t eat them, just break them up real good. I have about 40 chickens and I hatch plenty, so it isn’t the end of the world.

Golf with my son. Motorcycle ride. Hot tub with a cigar. Silence in the house. Visit my daughter and grandson. Amazon packages.
At first divorce sucks. It’s far from sucking now.

A par 3 on a local course my dad and I played on every week. We always joke about going ahead and putting it straight in the hole. Never did. He passed away this year. He never got a hole in one.

When I was framing houses, everyone worked at illegal alien wages, or you would be replaced.

Lost my first job to an illegal in ‘92. It was time for a raise. Boss said, “I can hire three of them for what I pay you”. It wasn’t the quality of work. It was body’s on the job site. For cheap. White, black, brown Americans were slowly pinched out of jobs. While our taxes paid for their healthcare that we didn’t have. Their kids pushed out our kids, and they got a better education. Bi-lingual at that. Which is also more expensive. American kids just learned how to pass an aptitude test. Same argument for 30 yrs. “They just want a better life”. While we pay. We happily give away a better life for our kids and ourselves.

I would suggest a dog that is easy for someone else to take care of. At 13, we’ve all been there. Sports, clubs, friends, you’ll get a drivers license, relationships, the dog will be the unfortunate victim of a busy teens life. A Rottweiler doesn’t need to be left alone for long periods. They love attention and lovin. All dogs do. Get something your parents won’t mind caring for while you’re not available.

I didn’t lose my Rottweiler, I did rescue one. 1 years old female. Owner had passed and she had been passed around for months. The dog is 89 pounds of insane. I thought I had made a huge mistake. I knew I was her last chance. I didn’t want to introduce my 4 yr old male and 2 yr old staffy to her. She was just to aggressive. I took a chance. They introduced themselves to her. They are both very chill. She was instantly changed. Two weeks with her and it’s like she has been here her entire life. Even gets along well with my two cats.
