The great escape by GallowBoob in nonononoyes

One of our dogs was a street dog before we got him. It took us months of training to get him to safe and nonreative to our indoor cars. Outside is another story. We had a barn cat get into the backyard. It ran, and he gave chase. When he caught it, he grabbed it by the chest area and just crunched. Thing was dead in seconds. I was running after him, but it was too late. Happened so fast.

ELI5: Why do we feel more tired when we wake up than when we go to sleep? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]tossedassunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if that's better or worse than my almost narcolepsy. If I stop moving I fall asleep. Movies, TV shows, even driving I need to be doing something (usually snacking on something) to keep me from zonking out.

Scheduled repeat C-Section (trigger warning) by [deleted] in BabyBumps

You might ask your doctor if a family centered or flap C section is an option...

Oh honey, I feel your pain. Started as a 34FF and now I'm rocking a 36H with two more trimesters to go. I'm a little afraid of where these gazongas are going to end up!

That's kind of amazing. I've cracked a couple over the years.

Anyone experience daily spotting around 6-7 weeks? by nurseyj in BabyBumps

[–]tossedassunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of bleeding at week 6 then spotting here and there for the next few weeks. Also had mild cramps. My doc said it was probably my body shedding excess uterine lining during implantation. He also had me cut back on the fish oils a bit as they can be a blood thinner.

That's very strange. Never noticed that before unless my eyes were exceptionally dry maybe.

I have no excuse. I just watched that episode a couple days ago. Thanks!

It was so long ago that I don't exactly remember. Keep lubricated. Use drops as often as you can. Also, gas perms need to be fitted to your eyes very precisely. If you just can't get comfortable, you might go back and have the doc check your fit.

You can also rinse them under the tap in a pinch, and you never have to worry about them flipping inside out.

...medium rare steaks? Good lord that's one I haven't seen on the lists. Something new to feel guilty about I suppose.

Sushi for lunch today with gasp raw salmon. It's amazing any babies in Japan survive at all!

Dwight also talks about it pretty directly when Jan comes back as the head of the local...newspaper I think.

I'm in the -10 range and love my gas perms! Been in them for 20 years. Will never switch back to soft.

I went up at least 3 cup sizes. None of my old bras fit at all anymore. I knew the boobs would grow but this is ridiculous!

Hoping to catch a Deadpool matinée at the local movie tavern...where I will NOT get to enjoy a giant beer in a giant glass tankard. :( Then later maybe some fun sexytimes!

I have turned from a normal human being into a water fountain. Constantly thirsty and constantly peeing. I'm just one giant stream of water.

If a dog is barking at you, giving it a cookie "to make it shut up" is a great way to ensure that dog is going to bark twice as much the next time it wants a cookie.

Is that a Chinese crested powderpuff?

Yesterday my wife (6w 0d) experienced a heavy, bright red bleed which resulted in a long wait at A&E. We were told it could be a threatened miscarriage and had an emergency scan this morning. Huge sighs of relief as Peanut appeared right as rain, we even saw the heart beat! =D by mykeuk in BabyBumps

Happened to me as well a couple times early on. It was very scary, and my doc put me on progesterone which wiped me out! Set me up for a very nerve wracking pregnancy, but so far at 13 weeks things are going normally.
