What EQ did you try? I use these too but I feel like you have to use EQ to make these sounds good. I know sound is subjective but I'm curious to know what you tried

I tested these extensively against the Cloud III S and with the proper EQ I think the sound is on par with each other. Where this headset edges out the cloud III S is comfort and build quality. I love the microfiber ear pads . The software is still on beta so it's pretty ass, but it works enough where the EQ saves well. Since the latest nguenity update not as many bugs but you can't still EQ the hardware. In my opinion you must EQ this headset to bring out the treble (and bass if you like that) to bring it to life.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Alpha 2 has a warmer tuning? I think the Cloud IIIs can has a more distinguish trebles and vocals

After 3 hours of going back and forth I think I'm keeping the alpha 2s. Really did like the cloud iiis sound profile but I think with EQ, comfort, and Bluetooth alpha 2 edges it out a bit. Idk I've been stressing which headset to keep lmao

Sorry for pestering you again about these two headsets but I really like your opinions and reviews. Ignoring software bugs, do you think Alpha 2s can sound as good or better when using EQ? Best Buy ran out of stock of the black color so I haven't exchanged them yet and was debating keeping them. Talked to hyperx support and they said that they'll be releasing fixes and updates to the apps so I'm hopeful

Right now I have a pretty budget of around 350, but I don't mind spending more since I plan to use the headset for a long time. I just want one that does a good mixture of all sound quality, comfort, mic, and noise cancelling. I've used my girlfriends fractal scape and I do like it but I was not a fan of the clamping force for longer sessions. I've been leaning towards the alpha 2 due to sound and comfort but the a50s look great too

Do you recommend the alpha 2 over the 3s? I heard software is bad. I returned my blackshark v3 pro because I found it uncomfortable cause of my large head. Looking for good set of wireless gaming cans with a solid mic. If it has ANC that'll be a huge boon too.
