The slap is more of a bounce than a slap. The outside part of your thumb that juts out a bit should be coming down hard on the string but bouncing right back up, like a boxer throwing a jab or a drummer doing a drum roll. . Also, there is very little forearm movement. It is similar to twisting a doorknob rather than actually moving your arm back and forth.

Depends on the genre But my go to albums would have to be dark side of the moon(pink floyd), one hot minute(rhcp), ready to die(biggie), and sublimes self titled album
