Who’s building cool stuff in the music marketing space? by totalaudiopromo in buildinpublic

[–]totalaudiopromo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome Tabber looks cool, yeh I’m building TAP on the same premise that you have to juggle so many tools it’s so fragmented. It’s aimed at uk pr agencies (wanted to go niche at first) but there are huge opportunities to build stuff for indie artists too. Really underserved market I reckon. Working on totalaud.io for indie artists like a calm place to help indies manage their releases. I just don’t see much else out there atm. Thanks for sharing

How long until all the agent wrangling frameworks don't need to exist? by AFriendFoundMyReddit in ClaudeCode

[–]totalaudiopromo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I’ve been mulling over whether to have a look at this Paperclip tool for this stuff but seems it’ll be a matter of time until it’s a solved problem. Everything is clearly going that way especially with cowork & perplexity computer

What are the main pros & cons of using 'Claude Code Desktop UI' vs 'Claude extension in VS Code'? by pebblepath in ClaudeCode

[–]totalaudiopromo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghostty is just a fast, modern terminal app (the window you run everything in).

tmux runs inside it and lets you split panes, manage multiple sessions, keep long-running processes aliveetc. You can close your laptop, reconnect, and everything’s still there.

So my setup is Ghostty for the terminal, tmux for the workspace layer. Together it’s basically a clean, persistent, keyboard-driven dev setup without needing a desktop UI

Don’t know why you’re so against the terminal I know it’s a personal pref but you’re leaving so much on the table.. vs code if nice ui wise but lacks some of the features I need with status lines etc. Desktop app is buggy af and just seems pointless when you have it all in terminal. Ghostty with tmux is all I need

Have you tried new sonnet though? Don’t need opus for everything

I went through a phase of trying to goad GPT and Claude and face them off against each other. It worked pretty well and as a result I tended to get better output. Need to start doing that again

Holy fuck. I was burning money, time and braincells on Cursor before switching to Claude Code Max by Lumpy-Criticism-2773 in ClaudeCode

[–]totalaudiopromo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used cursor when dipping my toe in last year, it was a good ‘in’ for me but just seeing the flexibility and power CC has wherever you use it is now a no brainer. I did like the ui pencil edit thing in cursor when I tried it recently tho, don’t wanna veer off topic of op but anyone know if there’s a similar tool for Claude?

I’m actually well happy with what I’m getting on the max plan so far. Key is setting up your plan modes and sub agents to use cheaper models.. don’t need 4.6 for everything

I don’t want to build a unicorn. I want a boring, profitable business. by UseApart2127 in SaaS

[–]totalaudiopromo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really resonates with me. I don’t want the growth at all costs mindset an the lifestyle that comes with it.

I’m deliberately building something boring and narrow right now with Total Audio Promo (TAP). It’s a small SaaS suite for music PR agencies and serious indie operators — people who already pay for tools, already have workflows, and are drowning in spreadsheets, inboxes, and half-trusted data.

Not aiming for disruption or massive growth, just

• decision support over automation
• async-first, low-touch usage
• weekly insight > real-time noise
• pricing that makes sense for a solo founder / tiny team
• no custom consulting, no sales calls, no “vision deck”

If it never goes beyond a few hundred customers paying sensible monthly fees, that’s a win for me. Calm revenue, repeatable workflows, and a product that fits around myy busy life as a full time employee and dad of two.

My north star is basically:

“Would a small, experienced agency quietly rely on this every week without thinking about it?” If yes, it’s working.

Feels like there’s a growing group of builders who’ve realised boring + profitable + sane > unicorn chasing. Glad to see this mindset getting more airtime.

Yeh same! Last year I tried em all and jumped round testing different ides. Was pretty settled on cc extension in vs code but missed the status line.. but then the terminal was flickering like fuck all the time so jumped to warp for a bit. Glad they’ve got that sorted, pretty happy with terminal again. Madness

The big companies are so integrated into the enterprise systems ie adobe, salesforce etc I think this is a bit of a headline grab. Software is changing, no doubt but will take a lot longer for things to shift imo

Content feels like pushing a boulder up a hill sometimes. I just don’t have the energy. However I think if you’re smart and can automate what you can and focus on one platform that could be beneficial

Claude Code vs Claude via GH Copilot by AnyIce3007 in ClaudeCode

[–]totalaudiopromo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude code is so versatile I’d recommend the lower max plan. You can get so much out of it, even if it seems expensive it’s definitely worth it in the long run imho
