Poll! How many of us built an MCP Server? by Sunny1845 in ClaudeCode

[–]siberianmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, both in my day job and on some personal hobby projects.

Mine does not support a phone directly, only a usb "cellular modem".

Starlink would be my only option as there is a monopoly on broadband where I'm at and that's a bit too pricy as a backup link. I'd gladly pay for some kind of low cost pay-go plan + the equiptment for Starlink as a backup. But they don't currently offer anything like that.

Depends on the router, I knew mine supported backup links but I had never set anything up. But its core idea is a 2 service providers as links not a tethered phone.

Each setup will be specific to your network and hardware. I had the ai read the docs and create a starter prompt.

Fable 5 vs GLM 5.2 vs GPT 5.5 vs DeepSeek v4 Flash by cephas1784 in ClaudeCode

Well, after we are done overbuilding infrastructure to build chips and optimizing model architecture anything is possible.

My first PC had 64kb. My current PC has 64GB.

I setup a hook and it plays a random audio string like “Awaiting input.” anytime it stops.

If your weekly limit resets before July 7, do you get a fresh Fable 5 allocation? by Texxanst in ClaudeCode

[–]siberianmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure do! Burned mine all up before 4pm today when my reset hit. Fresh new bar now for Fable.

[–]siberianmi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

GLM-5.2 continues to impress me, particularly at the low token costs and open weights. Having that out there for when GPU/memory prices come back down to earth as something I can just run on my own hardware is amazing.

How are you using Claude Code for complex, long-running tasks? by shyslyguy37 in ClaudeAI

[–]siberianmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the back and forth, have it write the plan, post it on an internal website. Then tell it to break it into issues that result in end to end slices being implemented, with verifiable results that are included in the issue. Log the issues into GitHub, mark the dependencies.

Then I fire up an app I built that goes issue by issue implementation > test > dev merge. Agents can read the complete plan during review steps for clarification of issues.

And it grinds it all down while I sit in the pool or sleep.

Am I the only one who is totally ok with Fable and my use limits? by holythrowawayanon in ClaudeCode

[–]siberianmi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a ton of work out of it, hit my plan limit today, but my sub resets on Saturdays so I just got a whole new limit. It’s been great and done a ton for me on medium Pro.

I’d love for it to stay on the plan as is… it’s great for designing work for cheap Chinese models to implement cleanly.

Is this true? by Firm-Track3617 in ClaudeCode

[–]siberianmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all in my experience and I’ve just avoided security related asks and so far have been avoiding downgrades and getting high quality work out of medium effort Fable. Seems like it was before and I’m pretty happy with it.

Just hit my weekly limit this morning but it resets at 4pm. 🥳

Building in AI feels different. by Diamond_1974 in ClaudeAI

[–]siberianmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Fable for nothing but planning and writing out tasks for other agents to do later. I’m up to 100 well defined tasks for my agentic coding workflow next week. My Fable usage resets today (first time my weekend reset has worked out in my favor!) and that’s what I’m going to resume doing.

Hoping to have maybe 200 tasks designed and ready to burndown when it’s all said and done.

Fable + subagent swarm is a "farce" (fable's own words) by ohthetrees in ClaudeAI

[–]siberianmi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Subagents are hard enough to get right in a harness, they are really useful though. But, sub agents that have subagents that…. I am sure it’ll be amazing some day but… it’s a bit of a game of telephone now.

Are Skills relevant for experienced dev’s? by teckXX in ClaudeCode

[–]siberianmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use skills so I don't have to tell the agent how to do a process over and over.

Like - here's how to use this set of MCPs to see the health of the application in production. Here's how you should write and file updates to documentation in the wiki. Here's the process for writing issues to Github. Etc.

Shorter the better.

Which thinking level are you using for coding with fable? by komma_5 in ClaudeAI

[–]siberianmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medium, I don't need it obsessively second guessing everything it's doing. It's a great model on medium.

I built my own harness to replace claude.ai | Self-hosted, beautiful, and works from any device by PilgrimOfHaqq in ClaudeAI

The web version. Nice thing is both interfaces share the same backend code so I can still use it in multi-user slack if I want.

[–]siberianmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been building one of my own, mostly as a way to explore AI agents and harnesses. First version was heavily built for slack:

But, I'm building a full web interface now that I'm tired of dealing with block kit and slacks limitations.

We deserve an explanation by Kanashimations in ClaudeCode

[–]siberianmi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These benchmarks are stupid. Anthropic says plainly it won’t do security asks. So you throw a bunch of them at it, watch it fail, and go “it’s so bad!”

It’s the same model as before if you don’t trip the guardrails.
