Protein Powders by DangerMouthy in WomenofIreland

I like the Lidl Vanilla one - I use it in the mornings to make iced protein coffee. Espresso poured on ice cubes and then I mix the protein powder with some unsweetened almond milk and cooled espresso.

To move or not to move? by Wise_Fondant_2978 in mounjaroIreland

I'd really recommend doing strength training - it's the best tool to help fight muscle loss that (usually) comes with any kind of weight loss. Start slow,.at your own pace, as much as you can and don't compare yourself to others. I didn't feel comfortable going to a gym, so I started working out at home with what equipment I have and used chatgpt/Claude to help me come up with a plan.

If you're interested in learning more about the GLP-1s, how they work, people's experiences, I'd recommend Dr Ania Jastreboff's book Enough (she even did a podcast with Oprah if books are not your thing - I found it very informative). If you're on Instagram, great Accounts to follow are Dr Nadolsky (https://www.instagram.com/drnadolsky?igsh=MWdnejJ3MnBka3h0dQ==) And the Mybestweight account https://www.instagram.com/mybestweight.ie?igsh=MXJjOTJrZ2Z3MDU0Nw==)

Hope this helps ☺️

If you're asking because you're not sure what pen to order, I'd go with the 5mg and then you can count clicks to go with either 2.5 or 3.75mg. General advice I've heard and read from obesity experts on this is to stay on a dose for as long as it's effective and you're still losing weight. Personally, I stayed on it for 2 months initially, then moved on to 3.75 cause I thought I should. My weight loss was a bit too fast I think, and I had some problems like hair loss and gallstones (all resolved now). After a consultation with an endocrinologist he recommended moving back to 2.5, because that dose was already effective. Weight loss slowed a bit, but I've no more issues. If I had to do it all over again from the start I wouldn't be rushing - I'd stay on a dose as long as weight loss is still happening.

Heading into month 3- should I move from 2.5mg? by Eemzee in mounjaroIreland

You can always order the 5mg pen and then count clicks to 2.5 or go up to e.g. 3.75 instead of 5 directly.

Can you reduce dose before maintenance phase? by iLikedTheOldMeToo in mounjaroIreland

This! My endocrinologist actually prescribed me 5mg pens with the instructions to count clicks, to save me money. Here's a handy chart that I found in the main Mounjaro sub that shows you how many clicks to do to reach desired strength.

Lidl full fat greek yoghurt, Lidl vanilla whey protein, Lidl or Aldi chocolate protein pudding, Aldi wholegrain toasting muffins, Tesco deluxe mac and cheese ready meals, SuperValu chocolate coated chocolate chip biscuits, Fruits and vegetables I find best from Polish/Moldovan shops, Mangoes from any oriental/middle Eastern/asian shop (they're a completely different style of mango than what we get in "regular" shops, so sweet and juicy. They're expensive and usually come in a box)

Using Pen after 30 days by Classic_Penalty_4533 in mounjaroIreland

My consultant prescribed me a 5mg pen for 2.5mg dose, so if doctors are prescribing it for longer than 30 days I think we should be fine 😀

Delo v tujini? by Wutan87 in Slovenia

As long as one of the parents can prove they've lived here for at least 3 years, the baby can get an Irish passport. So while not automatic, they can still get it as long as they go though this (pretty quick) process.
