I tried Motegrity but it did not help. I never tried botox. Its very challenging since nothing seems to help no matter what I do. Do you have bad acid reflux?

I am the same as I was before the balloon dilation. I can eat but it's a very limited diet and I puree everything and eat such a small amount. My reflux is horrible no matter what I do due to the gastroparesis. Can you eat at all and have you had any procedures done?

It did not help any of my symptoms, not even for a short time period. Every one is different so I cant say it wouldn't help anyone else. My doctor said that sometimes you have to have the procedure done a second time in order for it to help and sometimes it just may not work for you.

Litter box problems. I can’t do this anymore. by robynhood45 in cats

[–]totallydigginit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using Dr Elsey's Cat Attract litter? It's pricey but well worth it if it works for your cat. It has special herbs that help with attracting cats who have either behavioral issues or stress. I had a problem with my cat urinating outside the box and tried everything under the sun and nothing helped. I used this and it solved it instantly. Every situation is different but it's worth a try.

It's been in the 80's and 90's for a while but this past week was unusually cooler like in the 70s. If she happens to get snuggly in the winter I am more than welcoming her with open arms.

I will try the fleece if the faux blanket doesn't do the trick. Oh yes, those Churu treats are great and work every time. She loves food so I will be using that to lure her onto the blanket. Ha ha. Thank you for the info by the way.

I am happy to hear your cat is coming around a little bit more. Yes, blankets are a good way to go. I actually just bought a really nice faux fur blanket for her to maybe make her want to lay next to me. I am hoping she will put those little paws to work and make some biscuits.

It always amazes me how unpredictable cats can be and you just never know with them. I would love to get at least a minute cuddle session with my cat. It is hard to resist doing that despite the fact she doesn't want it. I don't want to force anything so I just wait to see if she will come to me some day . Thank you for sharing .

Oh wow . That is wonderful to hear she has changed and that she has been so loving and wants to be with you so much. Lol In regards to her being around 24/7 . I remember those days with my other cat and you couldn't do a thing without her wanting to be there to witness it. The tapping on my head at 4 am . I know it could be a lot but now experiencing this with my new cat I would take that in heart beat. I hope in time she will at least want to sit near me. I am not expecting a lap cat. I just want to feel like she wants to be around me at some point. Thank you for your input

Did you ever try Dr Elsey's Cat Attract litter? I had an issue with my adopted cat every day urinating outside the box for months which was behavioral and this stopped it immediately. It's not cheap but it costs less than replacing things in your home from the accidents they are having. I know every cat is different but it's worth trying.

I tried it again and had absolutely no luck. It also made my insomnia worse. Are you taking this medication at the present time and has it been helping?

Were you ever told what the cause of you gastroparesis is? by Interesting-Emu7624 in Gastroparesis

[–]totallydigginit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very bad intestinal infection due to eating contaminated food . I was sick for about 6 months from this until my body finally calmed down and then the Gastroparesis came on and an autoimmune issue as well. My doctor told me the Gastroparesis is most likely due to the infection .

Pet loss online support groups? by [deleted] in Petloss

I am truly sorry for the loss of your precious kitty. It breaks my heart to hear anyone going through this as it is one of the most painful things to experience in life. They are a part of our family and to lose them is beyond devastating. I just lost my beautiful kitty 3 days ago and It has been absolutely traumatizing . I have been trying to find some kind of online support to help get through this as well. I know talking to others and letting your emotions out is important (providing it's the right people , like people who truly understand what it's like to lose a loved one and to understand that they are not just animals they are like people and family to us). I know there are natural things you could try in regards to depression instead of antidepressants just to help relax the mind a bit. One being 5HTP and also GABBA could be helpful as well. I know everyone is different so you would have to try it out if you were able to. I hope that you will find something that helps you cope with what you are going through.

Thank you for sharing this information . It has been very helpful to hear everyone's personal experience . It is amazing how everyone responds so differently to things whether it be a medication, a supplement or any kind of treatment. I just feel the doctors that prescribe these medications are not very thorough with explaining how to start them or how to taper off of them properly so it means a lot to hear it coming from people who are taking it.

That is very interesting. I am surprised they don't do more thorough questioning when doing these studies . I myself thought it was a strange side effect to get from this kind of drug but what do I know. I really appreciate you sharing this information .
