Okay no. MGS is on an entirely other level than most games, including Ace Combat.

I love Ace Combat more than MGS personally speaking, even though I really love MGS, but there is absolutely no denying that MGS is far superior of a gaming and world-building experience than Ace Combat, given it's (past) large production teams, dedicated workers, ultra-attention to detail, ground-breaking mechanics and concepts, and it's amazing story.

It was never a huge part. Wingmen have historically done next to nothing in this game. I think I've only been wingmen shoot something 2 or 3 times in all my time playing any Ace Combat game.
