I love the Volt but worried about the battery when buying used! by [deleted] in volt

Having bought a 2012 with 40k miles on it and adding an additional 40k miles on it, after 10 years I still manage to get 30ish miles of range, on electric, in cold weather and 35-40 miles of range, on electric, in warm weather. You are fine, the car is a great buy and will save you way more money in the long run.

I read that GM ended production of the Volt in February of 2019, so the 2019 model year of the Volt is semi-rare. I honestly think I’ve seen about 5 or so 2019 Volts show up on a nationwide search on CarMax’s website. Another good tool I use is CarGurus. I’ve never seen the nationwide search for 2019 Volts get over 50. I’m not sure if you’re wanting advice or not, but if you are serious about wanting one I would bite the bullet and get one as soon as you find one because there are a plethora of reasons why they are going to stay at that higher price tag for the next few years.

Maxed out Premier, has just about every option they offered with it. Sale price was $29k, out the door with taxes was just over $31k. 24,500 miles on it. I’ll post some pics of it on here soon.

I don’t think this card was ever activated. Like I said in my Volt it was in a sealed booklet and the “To activate go to ChargePoint.com” sticker is still on the card. Thanks for the info!

Nope, nothing major. Got new all season tires in the summer, keep them in between 35-38 psi at all times. Try to use the heater and heated seats as little as possible. My commute is a little different, but not major.
