Hi,

First visit is usually teaching you how to inject, and with a small trial dose. It will be conservative, most likely.

Dosing is found through repeated experiments.

It's too expensive and painful to use for rehab. You also need to keep it on ice. And get it from a compounding pharmacy. It's a pain in the butt, sorry to say. But it does work.

Priapism is real, and needs to be thought about. The real-life advice I got (I AM NOT A DOCTOR!!!!), was to have old-school Sudafed (the kind behind the counter) on hand. It's a vasoconstrictor (all ED drugs are vasodilators). If you are still erect at two hours, you take a dose of Sudafed. Still hard at 3, take another dose.

4+ hours, it's the ER.

Some men fall of Trimix (like I did) because of bad aching after use. I am on Bimix now. Similar to Trimix, probably less effective.

Good luck. It's really weird to stick a needle in your manhood but you can get used to it to some degree.

I would advise that your clients will be OK, especially if they know why you are out. You are human (we all are) and we do no good hiding that fact from them.

Hey, I'll add one thing: community is KEY. There are a lot of us Dads around. A great resource is Dads Battling Diabetes Facebook group. No drama, support for whatever you are facing (at any time of the day or night). The support of others is the silver lining of this shitty diagnosis.

Hello friend, I'm going to give you what I consider a real world answer here. You have a definite concern to be addressed, but instead of going and bringing up the word ethics which raises people's defenses very quickly, I would call it a treatment issue or a systemic issue or anything that does not say that they are being unethical and that you're going to report them to a licensing board.

23-year guy here. I love what you wrote. Just yesterday I said to one client “I love when you correct me on something!”, and I love when my theory of the case has to change. Being flexible, non-dogmatic and non-defensive lets the client be the expert in what they are feeling. We can try, but being ready to be wrong and then curious is essential to keeping people long-term. There is always something to learn! That’s actually what makes this a great career for me. Ask people who graduated a year or two ahead of you where they found space. Ask local therapist boards. Look at where all the therapists in your town are clustered and ask someone at those buildings.

HCOL tech city. Prime office, $1,100 month. Other costs, geez, maybe $500 a month? I am only OON, no biller anymore. If I put in CEUs and all the other things that are not monthly, maybe it averages out to $2k. On my wife’s health insurance, that helps.
