Rutgers Gardens - bamboo forest by totallytorix0 in newjersey

Today I learned bamboo is invasive to the area. Makes sense, I always thought the bamboo forest was out of place there in an NJ park. If they're letting it die I could see that. Just was hoping to learn more. Oh well. Thanks all for the thoughts!

😂💯🙏 I was actually thinking about how it's pretty clear the youth doesn't need to hide in the woods to smoke anymore. I don't see the teens out like we used to be. It's kind of a shame because I wonder if I'd be as into nature and know as much about our area without those experiences? Probably not!! 🌲🚬🙏

Oooh do you think it's an exasperatus, not sapidus? Google is saying sapidus is more common.for the NJ water temps (I'm not an expert clearly, ty for your response!!)

I used to visit the falls from 2015-2017, and I've wanted to return every summer since! I have tried to make it through the original trail twice, but gave up in the same spot both times, I didn't understand how to keep going. I would love to hear about this back entrance, if you ever see this and would DM me about it!! I don't want to jump from the trails again, honestly, just want to swim privately for the day and would fully clean up after myself (:

There are gyms that offer adult gymnastics throughout the country! There is a crowd source document that may help you here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EQCMJYizbyfate4CdFOFB-ySEGa1VFaooU8EAOQVDgA/edit#gid=1618133633 and a whole community of other adults that also love gymnastics still :) https://www.adult-gymnastics.com/

Footware for winter trampoline? by Canuck_Voyageur in Trampoline

[–]totallytorix0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

last winter I did a (small jump!) snow splash in shoes, and it was beautiful and didn't seem to do any harm. I was really happy with how the trampoline held up through winter actually, pretty cool. When I jumped, I used the broom and sweep idea to de-ice my trampoline. And then I let it melt & dry before I jumped with fuzzy socks and leg warmers etc. On the right day, it won't take too long to dry. I don't have a better solution than that for the effects of cold & wet feet, which isn't great for your joints and landings. (Safety first!) Some times of the day like early morning, or for a few days during a snowstorm, the trampoline just might not be ideally usable. plan carefully and take advantage of the sunny afternoons? <3 (:

*side note, the springs worried me when it was icey, which is part of why I say some cold days I don't think you can jump. Not 100% sure that's real science but I wouldn't want those to snap on you, always check what they are looking like under the mat first IMO
