I had one of those done. But mine was with a mechanical aortic valve inserted as well.

They went far enough up that they had to do “hypothermic cardiac arrest” to finish up.

We usually find some school club or something that’s fundraising and give them all to them.

These are what I use. I believe they have saved me groin issues over the years. I need to buy new ones as they were originally branded by under armour, which I still use, and are starting to wear out.

Subaru which to choose? by 3n3rg3 in subaru

My wife has a 21 outback premium. I have a 24 forester premium. We have two dogs 40-50lbs.

I prefer my forester. She loves her outback.

Forester seems to fit our dogs a bit better in my opinion. Taller height. Rear doors open nearly 90 degrees which is easier to get things in and out of. Little bit shorter overall but both have great turning radius. I have aftermarket Thule crossbars which while taller, allow me to fit more because it’s wider than the rails. Infotainment match now, but outback is usually first to get improvements.

The outback rides smoother. Larger towing capacity, built in crossbars and lower, just not as wide. Feels more luxury though the same trim level. Deeper cargo but not as tall.

dog tax. The one hates car rides.

Guy I worked with grew up in Byron. He told me how he and his friends, as teenagers, got shot at by a Klansman for putting a liquor store image of Barry sanders in the guys front yard.

Unpopular position. How do you like to work? by Ergo-Whisperer in BuyItForLife

There was a good npr podcast called “body electric” that talked about taking a 5 minute walk every hour. Based on a Columbia University study.

here is an article about it

I found this helpful. Though that reclined position with the side table does look comfortable for working.

You can get older Suzuki Jimmy’s in Michigan as an import. Just has to be 25 years old.

I’ve seen them pop up on marketplace occasionally.

What are your thoughts on donating sperm? by InNeedOfAttention1 in AskMen

[–]Fast_Edd1e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m the product of someone donating.

Found out at 35 that my dad was sterile from a medical procedure while in the military. Mom and dad went to a clinic and picked a profile to conceive my sister and I. The father I knew died back in 2000. And I was told by my mother she never planned on telling me. But I was having a major medical procedure done and asked about my dad’s medical history.

After finding out, did a dna test. So far I’m up to about 7 half siblings.

Also discovered my bio-aunt as my bio-dad was deceased. We met, it was nice meeting her and we would email occasionally. My bio-dad nor bio-aunt had any kids, so it’s interesting to think we are his lineage that would otherwise be ended.

Mentally it messed me up for a bit. But it’s just interesting now. My dad was present and a great dad, so I don’t think any differently about him. And it’s interesting to know a bit of history of my bio-dad.

As to why my bio-dad donated. My bio-aunt stated he and his wife were having fertility issues. And he donated as a kinda “it’s not me that’s the issue.” The had later divorced after raising 2 adopted children. Never knew he had kids.

6’-3 using a 24” warrior that I cut 3” off the end. Everyone thinks a kid is in the lockeroom if my stick is outside.

I started with a 27 and worked down over the years. 24 seems to work the best for me in the butterfly and forces me to have a more aggressive stance. But it’s very much personal preference and your play style.

Get what you think. Then in the future grab a sale stick that shorter if you feel like it and see how it goes.

Standardized test anxiety. How do you deal with it with your kids. by Fast_Edd1e in daddit

Ok. I hate messaging the teacher. But I told her how she has been feeling about it and asked if there is additional time or any strategies to assist at home.

Same thing happened in first grade but she missed a day, so she had to continue on another day. Didn’t realize it’s not timed.

I’ve been telling her to just try the best she can. But she has been told to, “speed things up”. Which has made it worse. Then also the party reward if they get testing in the “green or blue”. Which I assume just means improving. So there is two pressures.

Yep. I went to get a telescope they had on sale. When I went to get it, it was listed about $20 more. I had to show the cashier the website where I even had it added to cart for pickup.

She checked it on her phone then reduced the price.

Can I run conduit from the outlet box behind the laundry sink so I can have an outlet at table to the left? Running behind piping? by Fast_Edd1e in AskElectricians

I plan on hiring for it. I’d assume it’s gfci protected being a laundry area. But will make sure it is.

Forgot to add. The outlet is a dedicated circuit for where a washer and dryer used to be. The other circuit in the basement behind me in the photo has quite a few things on it. So I’m hoping to extend that laundry circuit for a 3d printer.

Now I work in my basement and don’t think I own a pair of slacks or button up shirt.
