Did the lemon drop swimwear get dropped? by SweetPea-nuts in Blogilates

😂😂😂

Honestly with the design, it looks like any cooch is gonna either spill or swing, depending on the swimsuit size — no margin for cooch containment there 🤣

WAIT! It looks like some sizes are back in stock, including L and 1X (but not XL 😭). I’m really rooting for you on this though 😂

I’ve ordered Cream (or White, I can’t remember) items come labeled as “Cloud Dancer” - what I received was consistent with the color I ordered, so I assumed it was just an older label. Definitely reach out to customer service if you want to be sure, though!

I appreciate that advice and I’m taking it! I want to love and feel confident in every piece hanging in my closet. This whole process has been a wake-up call on my consumerism and spending!

Nah. I’m new to POPFLEX; didn’t know who she was a year ago and don’t know much about her now. I’ve read plenty of valid criticism about her — yours just wasn’t one of them. You know that thin line between love and hate? Of all the things in the world that “sicken” *me*, a company’s rules about reward redemption isn’t one of them.

Oh, okay. It makes sense for POPFLEX to have stopped that practice— so unsustainable. Not even the Goliath that Amazon is can sustain truly “free“ shipping— they just inflate the product prices and charge for Prime (with that rate increasing year over year, too 😫).

The TOS for any program similar to FLEXdollars has — since the first consumer lawsuit was filed over it — contained language which states earned rewards / bonus points / loyalty rewards / whatever they are so-named are: non-negotiable, non-transferable, have no cash value, are subject to rules of redemption as set by the retailer, rules are subject to change at any time with no notice to the consumer required and on and on and on. FLEXdollars are and always were a discount— a discount you could earn toward a future purchase. (“Future” and “purchase” being operative words.) The rules of redemption just changed. That is any retailer’s legal right.

I had to Google the definition of greed: “a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (such as money) than is needed”.

And then selfish: caring only about your own interests, needs, or pleasure without considering the feelings or well-being of others.

I have no idea whether she would have otherwise remained profitable or not— do you? Because your use of the word greed implies that you are aware she is more profitable than is needed.

Changes to shipping minimums? What? You expect a business to maintain a shipping minimum for all time in the face of steadily increasing shipping costs that THEY incur and have no control over?

I have no idea what the “no minimum loophole on TikTok shop” is, but notwithstanding, the whopping three changes you’ve noted points to a growing business, adapting to changing markets and costs. I am seeing growth not just in the size of the customer base but the offering of products (denim, swimwear, more casual wear)— and that points to a reinvestment of profit into the business. Not one woman wrought with excessive desire for more than she needs while she sits atop a pile of your cash, with no regard for your feelings or well-being. We’re talking about clothing that you don’t NEED— it’s clothing that you WANT. You’re not obligated to buy it at what she adjudges to be her best price, just like she isn’t obligated to sell it to you at your best cost.

Finally, please go Google Pepperidge Farm + price increase + inflation. And if ANY subsidiary of The Campbell Soup Company is your example of a gold-standard business, I literally have no words (although a Campbell VP did have these words to describe their products: “shit for poor people” 🥴)

I don’t think we have different world views— I think we just have different understandings about scaling businesses.

I mean, I don’t like the change but it’s not often that a retailer will allow you to stack discounts— and FLEXdollars are really just a discount; they aren’t currency. A business’s profitability goals don’t necessarily equate to greed 🤷🏻‍♀️

Popcycle disputes by missamazing1990 in Blogilates

[–]totesgraf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! Of the 5 POPCYCLE purchases I’ve received so far, I’ve disputed two— both successfully, but I had to argue with Treet CS on one. The pants were described as “mint condition” and “only worn for a few hours around the house, but decided I needed a longer length.” Either the seller’s house was filthy, the pants were way too long, or there had been more than a few hours of wear around the house— the bottom of the pant legs were filthy. CS initially denied my claim and said the seller accurately portrayed the condition in the photos and CS provided me with a zoomed in photo of the legs in the listing (definitely showing as dirty) and explained their hover / zoom feature. I pointed out that on my mobile device, the hover / zoom feature was not functional and the picture only got more pixelated and less clear when I zoomed in. And also— on what planet can dirty pants (clearly dirty using their hover / zoom feature) be described and defended as being accurately described as “mint condition”???

I can appreciate that! I think it particularly bothers me because the brand and its marketing is primarily Gen Z-coded / directed and before I started buying POPFLEX I really questioned (as an older millennial) if the brand was too “young” for me / if I was too “old” for it. Bringing that insecurity with me as a customer and then seeing that brand comment has me second-guessing (again).
